This is a really terrible comment. I'm happy to respond to arguments or constructive criticism or even just clever trolling, but random internet hatred leaves me stumped.
and @ Sauce Bensky...no hate at all bro...all i was saying was that i think ur efforts could be better spent...if u think MTTs are such a joke then don't make MTT vids...it gives the impression that ur making these vids just to satisfy ur RIO quota. Also when u make a cash vid and don't reload ur stack it can give the impression that u don't care (that 95% of the viewers prob play full-stacked.) etc...
Watching ur MTT vids is kinda like paying to attend a Steph Curry basketball camp and having him talk exclusively about how to box-out and rebound...
P.S. I can't believe i paid $100 to post this...(sad face)
I'm sure lots of basketball camp attendees will enjoy box-out and rebound lessons from Curry, as they for sure can learn a thing or two from him. Also, it's not like Ben is exclusively making MTT videos, so your comparison doesn't really work imo.
gee thx so much for providing the female perspective midori...maybe after Steph is done talking Bogut and Ezeli will discuss the finer points of free-throw shooting then for an encore Steve Kerr can talk about the challenges and obstacles he faced as an African-American Head Coach...
P.S. i'll lay 10 to 1 that the number of basketball camps which u have attended is a nice, round number...so speak for urself....or better yet stfu...
Great video. You hardly find anyone discussing these specific topics and the way you are taking the time to analyze a situation like this is much appreciated. I'd be happy to see more of this in the future actually as there are quite a few important tournament concepts such as this that get overlooked. Maybe you could consider doing a video with PIOsolver where you show the differences of calls vs 3-bets, even looking at it from the SB would be interesting as I think a lot of players feel you should rarely ever flat the SB and in tournaments it seems we probably should be doing that more so than in cash (antes, position, stack sizes, etc...). Maybe you could add in feedback on the theoretical aspects of tournament life if you can find a good way to do so and what considerations one should think about when deciding on an aggressive vs passive action due to that.
Guys like Negraneau and Hellmuth while may not be the best players are still obviously doing many things right in tournaments and tend to take a bit more passive of an approach than a lot of tourney regs in the games today. Would be great to add in your feedback after looking at PIO/CREV in spots on why many of the things they are doing might be strengths and actually not weaknesses.
Hey Ben, it took me a while to watch this video after you posted it, but it is great to see what an eye you have for detail even if it isnt a variant of poker that you play everyday or that you might not even enjoy as much. Thank you.

Here are the CREV files shown in the video:
Shove Only
Postflop Model
Are the EV values for these hands in terms of chips or in terms of tourney prizes?
Edit: Asked that before we got to the cash game sim for reference :)
Very interesting ! Thanks for the explorative video :)
are you going to make a part 2 of your scoop live play?
I don't think so
