22:28 What do you think of the play of 3max with Aks, should’t he just 3b/5b .
36:36 You are talkink about calling 4bets IP, I don’t have a call 4b range at all and I think this is a leak. Let’s say CO(reg) opens. And we are on the BU which range do you like to 3b/flat with.
22:28 3 Max did 3 bet/5 bet his AK in that hand. I think his play is good/ fine as long as villain on the button is 3 betting a decent amount. That being said, it might be more +ev to flat the 4 bet.
36:36 Probably suited/connected stuff that doesn't want to 5 bet jam so maybe some 910ss, KJss stuff that we decided to 3 bet instead of flat with.
Probably KK+ and some AXs, Lucas' ranges there might be different though.
What about AK? I mean AK don't play that well if we see a flop 3 or 4 4way.
James Hudson11 years, 5 months agoIt's going to depend on the villain. I'd want villain to be 4 bet bluffing a decent amount or calling a bunch of 3 bets to be 3 betting AK there probably.
So are you flatting TT most of the time James ? You guys didn`t say anything about the squeeze as you agreed with it. I`m almost never 3betting TT in that spot, as it doesn`t play well OOP in a bloated pot, and it`s not strong enough to 3bet/5bet jam usually in that scenario.
Sorry, I thought the "16:13" spot that stek was talking about was the TT squeezed from the small blind half a minute earlier. Now I see that it was the one where he 3bets AA vs UTG.
I think 3 bet/call 4bet is a terrible idea with 88 on BB versus SB. Or do you have a very balanced call of 4bet range? Whats your plan on the majority of flops with 2+ broadway cards and Axx flops? He can be balanced enough to bet/bet/bet but will you call him down?
James Hudson11 years, 5 months agoAs I mentioned in the video I'm going to assume that hero is 3 betting there for exploitative reasons and highly doubt that's a standard play there. If it is his standard play then you're right in that we're probably going to have to flat a decent amount of 4 bets and play some tricky post flop spots.
I think 88 is pretty clearly a 3bet 5bet there bvb, If I choose to call the 4bet its basically because I think villain is weighted too heavily towards value and I believe I'll be losing too much money shoving because I run into 99+ too often.
I just stoped the video to congrats on a great great series and hope you make way more if possible on zoom in the future, that and the "ahhh flush draw" just made me lol so bad irl. And Lucas, what did he have on the AQ hand??

So you 3bet because you expected him to call oop a lot? What was the reason behind 3bet if you didn't follow up with 5bet jam?
What did villain have on the AQ hand at 35:00? Tell us please. :)
