Hi James,

At about 24:10 on the bottom left you open A3s UTG and say that you probably won't open A6-A9 in that spot. Do you mean both suited and offsuit? That seems sorta weird that you'd open worse hands, but not better hands. I assume your reason though is cause A2s-A5s can flop wheel draw equity whereas A6-A9 can't flop straight draws nearly as easily.

Hey, I was talking about the suited A6-A9 but I also wouldn't be opening A6-A9 off suit in that spot. I guess it is sort of weird but like you said the wheel draws are worth more imo than making a slighter bigger pair vs calling ranges that are often going to make bigger pairs that that anyway. Also, I've done some database analysis that showed me that the smaller Axs are making money whereas the A7 type stuff isn't.

ah I see, interesting. And haha now that I think of it, it's pretty obv that if you're not opening the mid suited Ax hands, you def won't be opening the unsuited ones, my bad. But thanks for the analysis, it's a lot better than the arrogance on 2p2 where you get crucified for making a mistake in a HH. And great video once again, do more of these.

Hi James.

@37 min the J6o limped pot hand - i think as played checking the river is correct. I was fairly suprised to see him check back with a Queen there.

I think the mistake is on the turn in this hand. I think the weak bet by him aswell as his flop min 3bet basically turns his hand face up as Qx and maybe the odd bluff. I think even AA/KK which certainly is likely on the flop, is a lot less likely now on the turn with that sizing. So i like to check-raise to $10 and jam river for $19-$26.

If he did have some random airball on the turn and we fold that out with a check-raise then it's not a big deal because is he likely to bluff again on the river.

Liked this series a lot. Will u be doing any more multi-stake videos?

Cheers

You could be right. I think it's a pretty opponent specific decision (whether they're more stationy or more of an aggressive lunatic). That being said, as a default I think it's better to assume that recreational players are more on the stationy side which means that I should just keep putting bets in with nutted hands.

As far as seeing more multi-stake videos, I'm not sure yet but I don't see why not.

Speaking about multiple stakes, how do you think the rake effects opening/calling ranges and stuff if you compare 25nl with lets say 200nl? Like I heard coaches say ''you can open wider since u get 3bet less'', but I never heard people talk about rake. And like I know I should be able to see im HM what is profitable to open and what not, but my volume isn't that big that I can really read anything from that I guess. Tnx

Hey, sorry I'm not really sure about that stuff. You'd get a better answer by asking in either RIO's small stakes forums or on 2+2 in SSNL where people are going to have bigger databases at those stakes.

yo James just another amazing video! what about reviewing databases (kinda theory video) or student leak finder video,  U explain difficult stuff in an easy manner which is a character trait of a great coach/instructor :)
