Excellent video! Would love to see another part where you go over those medium pots.
11:25 when we xr the 7s with back door draws do we always need to turn some additional eq to barrel them? How common are low or 0 eq bluffs done in plo?
17:25 without a flush draw would this hand get checked or 50% pot bet size more often?
20:55 these donk spots are interesting when it comes to the turn. If the turn was a brick are you looking to fire as a bluff and try to move opponent off overprs?
Hey! Sorry for later response, busy with Christmas things haha.
11:25 Yeah you need to turn something. I'd say complete 0eq bluffs are pretty rare in PLO. On stuff like paired boards for example we usually bluff with pocket pairs or bdsd+bdfd combinations (see the plo crash course paired board video) just because those have the tiniest bit of suckout equity. Probably the only place where you'll see complete 0 equity bluffs is on flush boards where you sometimes end up with some 0eq nut blockers to bluff with.
17:25 Definitely not checking. This board is so good for our range I am never checking anything (you can see it in the sim too the check frequency is 0.1% probably ends up converging down to 0% exactly). This hand is kind of awkward without a FD though. We end up betting small with it (Note: Small, not 50%. The SPR is too small to have a halfpot bet sizing. If you want to have a polar smaller sizing make it really small, like a third pot otherwise there's no point and you should just be potting imo) if we don't have an additional BDFD to go with it. And then if we get jammed on the spot gets super gross. The EV to GII ends up being only very slightly higher than the EV of folding so it just is what it is.
20:55 Yeah absolutely I think on a brick like a 2h I will be for sure potting this hand. We can get so many overpairs to fold and our hand just ends up playing so much better if we just ram it in than if we check and see a river.
