I always appreciate all the work you do for your videos. The spr comparisons were really helpful. Any chance we can get more spr/tourney content?
First hand, is that a standard button call? It seems like a really weak hand with a gap in the 3 card run down and the queen helps in providing a suit bit otherwise seems like a dangler. Is it just because of the ante that you called?
On the AT83 hand, are you discounting future tournament EV with the jam? With 50bbs in a 10k vs a probable recreational I thought you'd generally want to err on the side of calling rather than raising in a spot like this, even though it's good to be aware that raising is the technically superior play.
I think there's probably some arguments to be made like that later on in the tournament, but this is pretty early on. We just wanna start playing some hands and building a stack. I don't think being too passive exploitatively early on is the correct decision.
I would like to hear a few more explanations on why the AT83ds hand is a raise on the A97T turn vs the donk. The raise doesn't seem all that obvious to me: if we give that player lots of (semi)bluffs, why not just call/call with so many river cards being good for us? And we can find some folds on bad rivers, like this one or a Q/K.. And if we don't know him, we cannot say yet if he is folding 86 here, or even has a bluff in the first place, or perhaps is only betting with hands that crush us?
Ok I wasn't aware that the rest of the vid is a whole analysis of this/ similar spot :)
But I am still a bit unclear on why the call would be considered that much worse here exactly? How can our opponent exploit us if we are taking the passive line here, and do we assume that our opponent actually is capable of this, giving it's an unknown player?
Superpoker I guess I should clarify: I don't think this player is exploiting us per-se. But rather we are exploiting ourself by playing overly passive for no real reason. You need to be careful with applying exploits to people you don't really know anything about because you could be causing way more harm than good. In this case the raise is not close so I would need a really good reason to just call. In this case I didn't have that very good reason and just called because I was too spooked
Very cool stuff, @Horseofhell. Bit of a typical boring NLH player here but exciting to change it up watching PLO and mixed content. Will have to check out the rest of your video catalog.

Thanks!
Thanks!
My next 2 videos will be live reviews of the 2k and 5k tournaments at Kings casino I played! So definitely more coming
We have to play quite wide on the BTN with the ante and also MTTs being 0 rake as well so yeah I do think it's a fine BTN call
Glad to see Mtt content. Nice vid
Nice video. I haven't played a PLO tourney in a while, so it was nice to see this kind of content.
Thanks Horse! Especially for showing the hand that makes you tilt and your in game thoughts, look forward to your 2k/5k reviews :D

Thanks for the video and the candid thoughts :)
