Hey guys! Not long after I recorded this video Berri announced that ASG tapped out of the challenge. Pretty sure we can safely say berri is the untouched god of online poker currently. He beat the best player in basically any format. Pretty insane stuff especially given some of the hands we've seen from him on the surface looking really hard to justify without understanding exactly what he's doing behind the scenes
I was wondering 2 weeks ago what the results of this challenge was. I was watching Phil Galfond do some reviews of this on youtube and it seemed like AmSoGood was playing "perfect" for the sims PG looked at. Where Berri wasn't playing optimal in solver land.
Just remarkable to see a guy playing outside of solver land do so well against the best players.
I forgot if they posted graphs but yeah berri lost some early on. I think every time berri has played someone people end up doing quite well at the start. I believe makeboi did very well vs berri at the start then berri just wrecked him in the later half of their match. I think berri takes some time to figure someone out and then when he has a good game plan he is able to execute it super well.
12:30 so if Berri were to raise turn it is strictly a bluff looking to fold out overpairs? Would this be barreled on a lot of rivers as well or does he mostly give up as amsogood should have aleady folded those overpairs on the turn?
20:50 you mention raising a king with a pocket pair. Is this a value raise that is really only seen in hu? It seems thin otherwise.
52:25 if spr was a lot deeper does that affect amsogoods donk frequency?
If spr is deeper does amsogood still call the river without the qd?
57:40 is the qqj9 a call preflop vs 4bet if it is double suited?

Do we get graphs or results of this challenge? I think Berri was down like 9 buy-ins or something early on.

Great analysis!
