What hands he has on this situacion playing 3bet + Bet check Bet board 379s Qo Jo?
I would expect from a good player to have a very aggresive aproach playing on the Turn, I dont think a check with hands like Qx or overpairs is standart so when you are in the River his range is mainly built with Jx, slowplays (low frequency) and bluffs.
The reason to choose 88 for the call is that you are not blocking the bluffs he might have, you need to think about the hands he did 3bet, most of the bluffs playing Cbet and checking on that Turn are As highs so
1º/ You dont want to make this call with A7 or A9 probably
2º/ A5-A2s are more often in the 3bet ranges than A6-A8 because of their straightdraws equity so if you have to choose to make the call with 55 or 88, it´s a little bit better 88.
3º/ All things considered, against his size if you fold a hand like 88 he is getting rich out of you.
3:30 Bn AA vs BB ...why do u bet AA "fairly strong" on a high frequency betting scenario? What's more confusing is xb on the turn. I would consider betting somewhat large on turn without Ac a standard. So please explain ur thought process especially on the turn. Thx.
This.
I thought the same as Jeju...On a high frequency Fcb board a small cbet (for example 1/3 of the pot) and on the turn polarizing with a bigger bet (for example 75-125 of the pot)
also the K9 hand shorty on 953r seems a bit contradictory to that AA hand. i would rather bomb K9 on 953r ( you get lots of value from A2-5, worse pairs etc) than AA on T73r.
Bettting 1/3 of the Pot with all your range on this texture is totally ok. On 2wraps boards I prefer to have 2 betting strategies because I want the straightdraws to suffer, this is specially important playing from Earlier positions, if you Pio the Hand you will see very clear tendency to increase the size of your bets when the board has low cards with a lot a draws open but not completed.
On the Turn same thing, I studied mainly with Pio how to build my check strategy on turns that are bad for me, ( 5x completes straights and it doesn´t give me new hands for value). If my range has too many bluffs I need to check some hands for Value and usually AA is good to balance this scenario since you dont need protection. Again It´s totally ok to bet for Value but I prefer to protect my bluffs and the strenght of my general strategy because I am playing against Top poker players.
at 6:50 you 3b K9s, could you please talk about how your ranges change as tables get shorter? any further advice for learning to play shorter handed better? I love battling with regs but feel short handed is the weakest part of my game
When you play with 40-50bbs the way to build ranges must change yes, not a lot but some groups of hands will benefit from those stacks.
Hands like QJo, KTo, ATo, AJo are stronger
You usually prefer Suited connectors or decent Suited hands that dont want to pay All in in your calling range (K9s is actually very good for call as well)
I recomend you to study the tendencies of PokerSnowie or PioSolver Preflop in order to learn more about this if you have the skills to do it. (I am specialized playing 100bbs, still have a lot to learn)
Ah, Actually I dont make changes, I play the same BB vs BTN playing 3max and playing 6max for example, actually I would say I play 6max same as 3max because I always study on 3-4 way scenarios. (not too different), if you get good playing BB vs BTN or SB vs BB on 6max you will get same as good on those spots playing 3max.
Curios about KQ hand at 29m where you lead river with trips in 3BP. After hand you said you wouldn't do this against someone you considered good. Does that mean you would never lead river vs good player, or just not for that size. I think the lead can be good, that card should improve your range more than his, my biggest concern is what can we use to bluff here. Maybe if the flush doesn't complete it could be good with 7cXc or QJcc type hand. I just think with my ranges I would probably get to that river and worst hand I could have would maybe be weak Ax.
I would never lead river against good players, that´s what I meant but maybe I should do it, the problem is, what hands do I have doing that as a bluff? we are on the same page yes, I agree, if the river doesn´t complete the flush it´s easier but still not very clear imo.

Hey Elias! Do enjoy your content. Regards music I do not mind but during the hands I wish the soundtrack would be without vocal.
Thank you for your comment!
We are so fortunate to have a great RIO coach like you! I love your music and video editing.

Hello. Your call with 88 at 9.00 looks fantastic. How you did it?

thanks man, but I meant 3 way or 4 way tables (not shortstacks), any advice on this?
