Mark Lammers aka ElusiveMark continues his $500 Zoom NLHE session review but switches things up a bit by going to the replayer and reviewing only hands that he VPIP'd. The focus centers on playing against small flop bets, bluff catching spots on the river, and how preflop dynamics change when recreational players are involved.

@ 3:40 with AA on the turn do you think having AA combos with a diamond make a good turn check ?

EluSiVeMark 6 years, 6 months ago

AA with a diamond makes it more likely that he has TT-KK because we block the Adxd and AdKx type of hands. So i'd be likely jamming AdAx.

Aces in general where the spr is less than 1 on the turn can be checked to balance/ induce. I would go with my gut feeling whether to jam or check vs different types of opponents.

5 minute, would you overbet river with any of your 6x? If yes which ones?
Nice call at 33 minute with KQ, looks like a gross spot

EluSiVeMark 6 years, 6 months ago

Just boats and flushes as my default. Add some stronger 6x to my range when i am relatively sure my opponent doesnt check back flushdraws and/ or traps.

Kq at min 33 is a fold vs most typical regs.

You do a great job in every video I’ve watched. This format is very good for studying imo.

I am very interested in the AQo hand vs the limp re-raise by the rec player, because I play live and this happens a lot. Do you still like a fold if he is deeper ? ($500). Do you call if you know he plays badly postflop? Thanks. I face this spot very often, mostly when I’m the raiser though and they limp reraise from utg. It’s often very strong and AQ does poorly hot/cold but it’s not uncommon to see TT or JJ and they go broke with a full stack on Q high flop like in the video because they are live players: example they cbet way too big, pot grows large and they can’t fold on a later street on low runout.

Thank you!
Yes when being deeper oop it is less likely they stack off with worse when we hit toppair. So i think we should fold even being deep. Its not hard to play postflop if his range is so strong so even weak players are doing alrigt vs AQo.

Live limp reraises are imo even stronger, i mean u often know the guy and have some reads to make the right play with your specific holdings. AQo plays poorly vs a very tight range.

This format is much better than the standard 4 table stuff you've done, in my opinion. We get much richer discussion of every hand, and it's not as hectic. Thanks!

Hey Mark, in this video and a lot of your videos you mention the WWSF % stat. Can you (or anyone) explain the significance of the WWSF stat more for me please? If a player has a high % does this automatically mean he's very aggressive?

Thanks, enjoyed the video

radtupperware 6 years, 6 months ago

That's how often you win, given that you see the flop.

It's obviously influenced by a few things. For example, if you're tighter from the BB preflop than you should be, you'll have stronger holdings more often and won't fold as much vs cbets.

But generally, the most likely thing to make you have a higher WWSF is playing more aggressively, and taking bluff spots. Players with low WWSF are generally more likely to give up when they miss than players with high WWSF.

Nice with reviews like this.

Can have it on the side while grinding 1 table etc.

Zoom in play etc goes to fast.

Cheers good video.
