Grayson picks up the review fairly deep in the tournament and looks to seal the deal.

Ace jack rip seems bold ? wouldn't he always fold worse and never induce with 99 and 1010

Grayson Ramage 9 years, 7 months ago

He may 3b/call 1010, but yes I almost always have 3 outs when he calls my shove. I thought he would be 3b/folding enough in this spot to make shoving profitable, but I may be wrong.

8:30~ 88 is a clear fold. I'm surprised u didnt consider ICM at all. This player is never shoving 66 here when there are guy with 7BB unless you're crazy maniac opening very wide.

12~ I believe 3beting JJ is more +EV here. The hand before you 3beted A9s as a bluff and now you have a decent hand.

How do you play vs 4b ?Stacking off with JJ would be an ICM disaster.

Flatting has a lot of benefits, it strengthens our flatting range and protects us from small-mid stacks squeezing or shoving. It also allows us to play a smaller pot in position.Seems like a better option.

8:30 - I do agree with you that it is a fold in the given situation and ICM was part of my consideration, as I mentioned in the video. He has quite a bit of fold equity with his stack, so I don't think it is that ridiculous for him to shove small pocket pairs if he thinks I am opening a ton.

12:00 - As SPrince mentioned, 3b/calling JJ is an ICM disaster, and since we are only 30bb deep, I would expect him to shove over my 3bet fairly often.

Hey really like the video,
One comment--What do you think about a non all in river bet with the 10 8(flop 3 8's). Like 200k or less on river? So your not as polarized/give me perceived fold equity too maybe.

Grayson Ramage 9 years, 6 months ago

I don't think there is any bet-sizing that isn't polarizing me to an 8 or better on this river. It is very unlikely for me to have Ax, and I think it is too thin to vbet worse. With stacks the way they are, I think the only sizing I should use, whether I am bluffing or value-betting, is all-in.

hi, good vid, ty

05:57 (TJo) - what about limp-call to iso preflop, limo-fold to shove? i think its much about who is BB in our eyes but in overall summary 23bbs eff in this kind of spot vs most players limp would be most optimal way to do it. Instead of taking highrisk variance spot 4bshoving there instead smallball having powerfull stack and we are in situation in tourney that im not sure we really want put preasure on preflop instead of postflop, all about personall feeling gameflow anyway.
