6:55 - What do you think of going for a 60-75% sizing on the flop with KQo on table 2 to try and get some immediate folds from A hi? I would also worry that going 1/3 on this texture could provoke some unwanted check-raises.
Awesome video again, Gary! I always get excited when I see that you have a new video out because I love live play videos and yours are always top notch. I am glad you choose to make zoom and rush videos because of the fast pace and large amount of interesting spots.
Seems fine to go bigger with KQo, although I'd prefer a backdoor flush draw. It also creates a tricky SPR on the turn, so planning the hand is important.
sorry to hear you didn't like it, but please elaborate as to what you didn't like / how it can be improved. this type of feedback isn't helpful for anyone.
the pace is way too fast and u nearly never expalin the why´s and what´s. This isa lot more like an entertaning type of vid than an educational one. I mean terible cos I think you can do way better than this. Have you whatched Luke´s vids? that is quality and explanatory. I get that you should not exposed all your game but you are an elite coach so content must be elite. Do you think this video is elite? Sorry if my "terrible" is a bit to harsh..ill change it!
This is the feedback I like to receive and I find really useful, so thankyou. My job is to provide live play content whilst other coaches do more theory/powerpoints/PIO etc. I mix my live play videos up between stars 500z (2 tables) and GG rush & cash (3-4 tables). This way I'm giving everyone some content they enjoy and find useful. Obviously when 4 tabling my analysis won't be as in-depth.
I'll bear your feedback in mind and make sure my videos have enough quality explanation in there as opposed to just commentary.
JMTeach1 I agree the video is a bit fast, but elite coaches are also targeting students that have a fundamental background where they do not have to explain all the details. But I wanted to point out it's also a bit fast because of the way RIO edit's videos, you can see on the top right of the screen some times there are fwd arrows which is skipping through some down time in the video. I do think 3 tables + 1 table replayer is a bit better format, but overall this is still a solid video. Also Gary Chappell if you need more time explaining certain hands, I would wait for your turn to fold certain hands, even though they are auto folds like 52o on the button, just so you have a bit more time to explain some other spots without getting into multiple spots at once.
28:30 T#2 is a key mistake a lot of players make because they will follow the solver blindly and just never fold an over pair in a 3BP. I agree pool is not finding enough XR bluffs on this board especially when you block a lot of them with JcJx. These are the hands that can make or break a session if you are playing A-game vs B-Game.
31:15 T#4 with AJo btn vs MP are you flatting this at a frequency being deeper stack? I usually dont want to 3bet these weaker off suite broadways 150bb deep.
45:00 T#1 A3c vs 98d on the 953dd-8cc-9x you said you dont like the size from the opponent (1/3 pot) because you either have air or a bluff catcher and opponent has a lot of air in his range so he can be polarized. Won't you have a lot of QJ J10 QT CC hands that missed and the small 1/3 might induce a raise? Or is it just a discipline play not to raise vs a river block bet when all the draws brick?
Recommend 3 tables + 1 table replayer or some 500NL - 1KNL reg tables for future videos. Solid video as always I didn't mind the fast pace. Maybe have a HUD with just vpip / pfr / 3bet? So we can see who some of the fish are? You mention a few times how certain opponents love bluffing or certain players are super aggro, would be nice to see just the basic HUD stats.
Thanks for feedback regarding video format. I think I agree and from now on I'll go 3 tables when playing GG rush&cash. I'm not sure reg tables make for a great video as it's slow paced and won't get many hands in unless I 6+ table and that'll be too much for 1 screen/be too small to view.
JJ (28:30) - I agree, different positions and combos I would go with it obviously.
AJo (31:15) - I think I prefer flatting some suited hands and AQo because they play better postflop, keep in worse hands and hate being 4B. I don't mind 3B/f AJo. IP we can still 3B a lot deep stacked, but OOP need to be careful. Also, I'd much rather isolate a weaker player than flat and allow blinds to overcall/squeeze.
A3s (45:00) - I don't think people find enough bluff raises vs block on the river, considering I didn't CB I don't have much/any 9x, therefore I prefer the larger size from my opponent for reasons mentioned in the video.

I agree with you on this. Only way to do reg tables would be replayer format of all the hands vpip'd but that takes the fun out of live play & explain.

So just going polar but within a condensed linear range? Top and bottom of the top 12% of hands or so?
I actually haven’t gotten through this video yet but I watch a lot of Gary’s videos and saw the comment thread. First of all the comparison with Luke’s videos is unfair, apples and oranges really. I love Lukes content but I don’t always want a complicated theory video I have to take notes on or super deep breakdowns where I need to dial in fully to learn. Sometimes I just want to watch an excellent no limit holdem player play some Texas holdem and explain what he is doing and that’s it.
Basically I think this type of content that can be consumed while eating breakfast or running on a treadmill or whatever is useful and I think Gary is very very good at making it.
I think these kind of videos are also very useful, because it reflects more whats actually happening in the daily grind and fast decision making is an important skill. So its good to hear how the intuitive first thoughts from a good player like Gary look like and which exploits he is making.Thats whats making the most money at the end and his results show that he knows his stuff. Some other coaches are sometimes too focused on theory for my taste and making decisions only based on the randomizer. I can solve spots on my own so thats not necessarily whats providing the most value for me. But I agree that 3 tables of zoom would be enough.

Thankyou for the kind feedback.
This could be improved a great deal.
