Interesting to see the shift in 3bet strategy in BB vs a small SB open at 21.00. You mentioned that hands like QJs, QTs, J9s all 3bet more often vs the open, because they are worth more. Is that because the SB raising range for a smaller sizing is wider than the 3x open?
I'd imagine that the higher SPRs in both 3BPs and 4BPs in this scenario drives us to 3Bet more of these hands too, as they play slightly better at with the small increase in SPR?
It has more to do with the fact as the raising size lowers, they want to play for more chips and they are not as troubled by 4bets as EQr will be higher since the SPR will be higher.
Haha, I actually just wrote my response to your first question and read the second. Spot on, yes!
Really great explanation here on this turn raise. To note here is that villain c bet the monotone board and then bet pot and folded on the turn tells me he likely just had air. We pick up the wheel and still have the nut flush draw to the river, so many times I’ll end up calling this turn, and having to fold to the river bet as well when we miss. Really like this turn raise.

34:30 i wonder about the ev of xc vs bc? Vs many players they will cap us at marginal showdown and may look to bluff this river a lot.
Thanks!
Yea I would agree with that which of course would make bc >> xc.
Frankie,
Enjoyed the video. A few interesting spots that you explained well in terms of what you are thinking in real time.
Thanks
Thanks Sevens!
