Francesco Lacriola examined his database for situations where he shied away from the GTO approach in lieu of exploiting weak regulars and scratching out a bit more EV than usual.

Great analyses. At 31:42 you discount all flush draws from opponents turn range. If he raises kjo no heart he can certainly raise kjhh, qjhh etc...I think he still has flushes on the river here.

I think most recreational players tend to raise a very polarized range with that line (either 2p+ or total air), they tend to just call with draws or to shove if they want to make a play.

I don't agree. Population analysis has shown that recreations are more merged in almost all spots compared to regulars. Even in spots which we would consider polarized they are more merged.
He could show up with Tx for sure.

lIlCitanul population analysis of what stake, of what country? Some apples are red, some yellow, some green, some hybrid. For what I see they are definitely more merged when they bet, hardly when they raise for that size. If they raise with a ten I expect them mostly to shove (they're afraid to see a flush card or for you to hit a pair with the magical Ace King); even if they raise on the turn with that size, why would they snap shove a heart river? I understand the bias of disrespecting recreational players, but you really have to consider them to be subhumans to shove that runout with a Tx type hand when you can easily have an overpair or a flush that has them crushed.

1st hand is it common that recs bluffing vs turn overbets? Sounds like a more - ''no'' to me, but definetly possible

Francesco Lacriola 4 years, 6 months ago

It's a pretty uncommon spot to be bluffed, readless I think my hand is a clear fold. Especially if the player is wild preflop they will have a ton of full house combinations on the turn compared to player with tighter ranges.

when you say randomize calls and folds do you mean fold 50% call 50%?

Francesco Lacriola 4 years, 6 months ago

It depends on the spot. Sometimes it's high frequency call/low frequency folds spot which can be 75-80% call / 25-20% fold. Other times it's the opposite. Other times it's close to 50/50. When it's less than 10% I wouldn't bother, and consider it close to a 0%. These are obvious simplification, as it's impossible to correctly recall all the solver frequencies.
