Francesco Lacriola grabs some footage from one of his students and gets him on the line to look it over focusing on the anonymous, American player pool and how to apply some of the lessons to live poker which makes up a good portion of the students volume.

33:30 regarding the suites its best to block opponents calling range with hearts and diamonds, so a hand like AcKs would be worse to bet as its more vulnerable to floats.

The EV of a flop bet of the AK with bdoor is higher than the ones without Bdoor (and the same can be said about the EV of the check, it's actually BE with this hand class), as you generate more FE (blocking potential float as you said) and you have more bdoor potential against hands such as QQ AJ TT. AcKc of course is less effective as a flop bet, but can be an effective triple barrel on blank runouts blocking AJs and unblocking all hearts that can play call call fold.

The main thing you need to consider is villains calling range to the 4bet. In very narrow ranges scenarios this is extremely important. Is villain ever calling aa and kk? Playing everything as a shove? Having a very capped calling range and shoving their best hands? Obviously the latter scenario is the best to run a profitable triple barrel bluff.

In an ideal world you want to block ajs aa and kk and unblock missed fd when planning a 3barrel on that board.

Thank you for responding. Usually play between 40NL-100NL and I don't usually make it a habit of barreling AK because getting villains to fold hands like 99-QQ usually becomes spewy.

Nice video, pretty cleat that you spent plenty time ''in the lab'' ''solverland''

My question what are things you suggesting to target against taggish regular. I know that it is low edge situations to get profit, but any suggestions spots to look for and lines?

Cheers.

I apologize for the delay, I missed your comment.

Overbetting the turn in BvB after your opponent check-calls the flop or cbet the flops and check the turn is a very strong line to put midstakes regulars in a tough spot.

Also you can get away with blockbetting rivers OOP a bit more often than against very strong opponents.

Enjoyed it Francesco. I'm in a similar spot to Gethen - live pro getting into online due to corona, and this video helped a lot. Thanks.
