School is back in session with Francesco Lacriola, as he jumps back into his Multiway Pot Theory: Positions & Range Interaction series. In this video, Francesco highlights the core concepts each position (original raiser, cold caller, and big blind) needs to consider.

Helpful mw overview. I think these concepts have a lot of relevance in tourneys and live cash. In online cash, how often do you see flat calls from mp and co given rake considerations?

Do you use flat calls in mp and co and do you find that to be profitable?

Do you always use a squeeze or fold strat from the sb?

Thanks!

Most regulars play 3b or fold strategies from these positions, with some rake structures the equilibrium recommends to play 3b or fold most of the times, however this doesn't consider the value that comes from playing pots with weaker players and the fact that most regs aren't familiar with how OOP SRPs with tight ranges play and can let us over realize equity postflop.

I play 3b or fold from MP and I have a very tiny portion of CC (well balanced) from CO. I find it quite profitable, especially if there are weak players that we can target, and in general I feel most midstakes regulars aren't familiar with OOP single raised pots with tight ranges.

From the SB I have some overcalls but close to 0 if the PFR and the coldcaller are both decent/good regulars; I can widen up if there's a weaker player involved, but not too much as it's hard to realize equity OOP against everyone in 3-4way pots if our range is way too weak.
