4:15 when you are talking about unconscious mistakes that exploit player tendencies it was interesting. I was thinking about this the other day at the table when I was going to take a line against a certain player because of what I thought of him. But I pulled back when I thought that it was too far out of line and that I was using the "it is just an exploititive play" as an excuse to do something way outside of theory. I think it might be possible to use that as an excuse to play a little too aggressively, a little too out of line. Do you ever feel that way?

Thanks!

I don't think "playing too aggressively" is necessairly a bad thing, as long as you understand why you're doing what you're doing and what you're trying to accomplish. Theory is the baseline, but in the end we always play against humans and there are different tendencies. Smart aggression is very hard to counter, so next time maybe you can ask yourself "how can my opponent punish my over-aggression? do I expect them to find this play?", instead of wondering whether or not you're being out of line. Of course if it's a punt it's a punt, not trying to justify that.

Hey, I was wondering how you initially found out you may be folding too much to the 75% flop cbets? Or how did you identify the deviation in your game from GTO?

By studying the sims/doing some drills with the trainer, I usually see some combos that I would fold in game being defended with some frequency and tell to myself ah I guess I might fold too much there.
