The phrase "101" comes from western universities, where your entry level course would have the number 101 on it. So your first Finance course would be called "Finance 101". It just means that something is in it's simplest form.
Great video! IMO it would be nice if you concentrated on this series for a while. You have a talent for cliff noting relatively complex spots in terms of high level game plan / heuristics and adjustments vs possible player pool mistakes. Please don't take it the wrong way re your live play but this is way more value add then watching anonym action vs random bovada fish on a software that at this point is vertigo inducing.
Thank you for the feedback. I'm aware that my theoretical videos tend to get more love than the live play or review stuff I do, I try to put out a variety of video's to accommodate to a pretty broad audience. I do think there is a lot of value in hearing someone's thought process during play, as well as picking up little things that they do which they might not realize is worth talking about. Most importantly though, it's difficult to keep coming up with original theory content for every video haha, the video's wouldn't be very good if I tried doing just plain theory every time.
I second this in regards to the series part. While I appreciate the variety of videos it can be great to focus on something like this for a few consecutive ones put together a constructed series. Those often end up being some of the best material on the site
Hey Krzysztof, in Mark Lammers "btn vs bb: 72 flops" video his pio analysis has btn cbetting for large sizing on low boards similar to your first example:
Both situations are 100bb effective and I'm having trouble finding out why they would produce different results. I dont own PIO, so if anyone could clear this up for me it would be greatly appreciated.
Really great content. Loving the Exploit 101 series, has only got better as you have perfected how you approach and analysing spots in your videos. I appreciate the effort you have put in.
One question, I notice you didn't put any 67s-89s in the BB flatting range and even though hands such as 9T and JTs will be 3bet at a high frequency is it not wise to include these hands in the BB range even with a small frequency? Does making such strong assumptions sway the PIO results or do you think the effect is negligible?
Thank you for the kind words,
In a perfect world you definitely won't 3bet those at a 100% frequency, but as a human being it will be very difficult to try to work with a strategy that 3bets a hand like 87s 90-95%% of the time, especially when you are trying to put together a strategy on the flop and have to consider that you only have 8% of this group of hands, and 18% of that group of hands etc. I just use simplified strategies because it makes me more confident that I will be able to construct my ranges better later. Nobody in today's games will exploit something this minor, and it makes your life easier.

Speaking slow is a good baseline. I watch at higher speed if it's too slow for me.
Great video
Nice Leo - Lion
What Exploits 101 means? or that name just stands for something?

Thank you, thought it is more random. But make sense now to me
