Hi Tyler, generally really like the vids. I pio'd the 422 hand with 8c5c and it seems that x/c x/c is the GTO line for his hand. He does almost no raising facing the turn bet of 72% (not quite what you used but my default middle size) and Ah3h is a clear check on the turn. Obviously very possible my assumptions are off but thought I would point this out as your reason for the exploitative move (he doesn't x/r turn or river enough) isn't evidenced by what he does with his hand.

Great analysis, Holonomy!

Against a regular, I wouldn't expect a turn raise to be the correct play. The river is likely raised when the betsize is less than 1/2 pot but would flatted if the river bet was greater than 1/2 pot. Otherwise as a I mention in the video, we would be able to value bet very thin for small sizes. Additionally, the recreational players range is likely wider than a pro in this situation, so expect PIO to be tighter than what would be optimal in game.

Great video as always, Tyler. In the last hand you said you would barrel any bway. Is a Q, J or T really great barrel cards when you figure a lot of his limp call range pre and call range on that flop is going to revolve around those bway cards and give him mostly decent made hands and pr plus draws on the turn?

I realize the 4s on the turn is bad for our range, but it is not so great for his. And as we unblock a lot of his draws, wouldnt that 4s actually be good for us to run a low equity bluff?

Thanks Tyler.

Thanks SoundSpeed!

It really depends on what hands he chooses to limp/call/call with. My general read in these situations is that a large portion of this range is connectors, pocket pairs, some random ace highs and some broadways. On the 4, it's possible that he will overfold, but most players here, play reasonably close to an equilibrium strategy, so it might be okay to barrel, but it will never be great. On a broadway, though it makes his some his hands like QJ here stronger, it weakens unconnected 9x, 8x, and small pocket pairs, all of which are going to be more inclined to fold. As long as his portion of broadways is reasonably small, it will be a profitable bluff. Additionally on two blanks something like AT can be a call, because of the number of missed straight draws, so a zero equity turn bluff is actually substantially worse than a check back/ call line with AT.
