In one of the hands pre-flop from i think under the gun 5-handed u folded A5,i would expect that it could be a raise 5-handed.
Can u give your comments on that.
Thank You

Espen Sørlie11 years, 11 months agoI guess I could. Cant remember the hand but I guess a fold can be justified by specific dynamics or stacksizes behind
24:00 w/89s - on the turn you said you didn't like shoving over his barrel, because we can't fold out overpairs. That is true, but seeing his aggression on this table, wouldn't you expect him to have a lot of air type of hands, like all A-high blockers he decided to 4bet, or even something as ridiculous as that T8s? He was playing pretty crazy and I believe big part of his range on the turn are bluffs folding to our shove. And if we get called we still have 11 outs.
Obviously shoving this turn builds a pretty huge pot, not the best option for us ICM-wise, but I guess by 3-betting him preflop we knew what kind of pot is likely to be built ;) And it really feels like cEV+ shove.
Btw, it's cool you're still answering to comments beneath these old videos, you guys make so many videos it's pretty tough to catch up with you after I've registered few months late ;)
Yeh I guess jamming turn is a pretty cool option. Not great ICM wise but I think that error starts with 3betting him pre. No need to battle him with marginal hands when he battles so hard back here. I tend to get pretty conservative risking my stack in these sort of spots since "staying alive" is sooo valuable in these sort of situations with huge payjumps.
Also keep in mind that we can jam brick rivers if checked to. he had been really aggro but that doesn't mean he always empties the clip(He didn't in this hand). So we aren't giving up on bluffing by calling here. It probably looks even stronger than jamming turn to him also, since why would we with like AJ? Just to fold out draws when we can bluffcatch when he is repping overpairs.
I think it is an important concept to think about that when we hit our flush against overpairs we get it in with 100% equity on almost every river but only ~25% ott and it doesn't take down our bluffing opportunities too much if we plan on jamming some rivers we brick as I discussed in the paragraph over^.
