Nice vid! Wanted to say thank you for all your videos. Been watching quite a few the last months and I think you have a small part in me winning the bigger 22$ for 25k sunday, so thank you for your good work :)
Besides the asskissing this is obviously a brilliant series. Really like the idea of inviting other regs to share their thought throughout the different parts. Keep it up!
1) @40min r u jammin your whole 3bet range? Couldn`t you just 3bet to 2.25-2.35m and fold potentially when is not 4bet shoving all but his top range like all the pairs, AJo+ KQs.
2)44:30min isnt sb a bit face up with his range since he didnt even had a second to think before snap calling.I would just imagine a weaker player would do this with even like 98s+JTo+, any king and ace and would start to tank with better hand in order to isolate and protect & get value with hands like pairs and stronger range. So you will get to play in position with a decend hand with low investment to win a decent pot just stabbing the flop or getting the pot on later streets plus should he have a range I described pf you will have awful lot of showdown value.
3)49min you open K8o vs European and u had folded previously worse hands when folded to u so u r open with like 70% roughly in this spot? And we obviously know that he is flout happy and will call like 85% in bb when u open so isnt a cbet pretty standard in this spot cause he ought to put you on a narrower range than usual and your range consist of broadways and connectivity to this particular board. And since he is always firing 53o+ isnt a bet just profitable against him?
1) something we def should have discussed in the vid. I think that by doing that we turn it into a more complicated game where it is his decision whether to believe us or not. if he thinks he has a lot of fe (thinks Im fos) then he can shove a lot more than he can call off a jam given icm. Ofc that works the other way around too where if he will stack off with a similar range when we shove as when we 3b small we are way better off 3 betting small. In the moment I guess I just didnt think he would believe me too much there since it looks like I only considered shoving or folding.
2) Yeah, again I feel like he was playing pretty dam tight from the showdowns I had seen from him, so it gets a bit different. I for sure wouldn't discount AK and such, I see people snapping there all day, and if anything if hes a weaker player he might not be concerned with his timing at all. but like you said, (and I said :P) we might have enough sdv + the added value of being in position/him probably playing straight forward in an empty sidepot etc.
3) It's a viable point. I do think he will still be floathappy though and I would like to have something more to potentially pick up in good barrell cards. if I had a diamond or more of a straghtdraw I probably would.
hey espen, i really enjoy this serie !
at 32' what are you thinking about betting a very small amount on the river (as high can call, i think that you can induce some vilains bluffs ans taking more chips cuz you might do the same thing with some bluffs no ? just for do fold vilains gutshots and 4). Sorry for my very approximative english, but i thought that betting like 1M95k on the river was pretty cool and unorthodox
i have perhaps wrong ?
you would probably bet bigger with your missed draw and 78o no ? is it possible to split our bluffing range in two sizings if thaat is the case
thank you
Interesting thought actually. I think it's a viable option as he probably won't be 3betting much pre with A high. my only concern is that I think his bluffing frequency highly decreases as my range is still uncapped and he can potentially have so much air still going into the river. It is kind of complicated to look at all the reasons for each play and find an exact answer, but I think in real time I was pretty confident he would bluff every Jhi-Thi or worse combo and felt it was more value in letting him doing that than trying to get a crying call from his ace highs.
K9 in BB around 47mins against BrimLows jam and Princess flats. I agree this is a great spot to flat for all the reasons stated. Most importantly it's a decent hand to just check back in position and try to realize full equity and KO a player with a $30k or so pay jump IIRC.
I think Princess is gonna show up with many Ace rags there, and less big hands trying to trap you. I'm not sure if she seems like the type to flat 1010+ there, because she seems less experienced and more apt to stick in big raises preflop (some of the large 3 bets we've seen for example).
That being said, I don't see any reason to shove on her there since the most likely action is going be checked through. We're IP and a $30k pay jump at risk, all signs point to the old "team" play here I'd say.

The play is perfect.

Like the way you use and explain blockers and how you pick your spots.
Ok thanks for your answer, i'm convinced by your explanations.
And GG for that huge perf.
