Dekkers123 is on the grind in the $100 zoom pool and reviews the hands after the fact and breaks out PIO at the end to examine some of the more difficult situations.

32:10 you said we need to find 8 bluff combos what did you mean by that? Thanks in advance

Dekkers 5 years ago

In game I made an estimation that he has 16 value combo's. If he is betting pot, we need to be good 1 out of 3. So if he has 8 bluff combo's we have a break-even call

Tx for this vid !

14:00 Right

I think it’s not a spot where you want to bet that big, (2x pot is huge) it’s too easy for vilain to reach mdf after he xc the flop on that bet on the river.
Also, 22-77 type hands benefit a lot from targeting Kx and weak float in vilain s range.
So , a polarized spot but I don’t think we have to bet that huge OTR ;) . What is your thought ?
Especially against a rec who has such an inelastic calling range, OTR, and after a x from his part, I would only target weak hand and 9x by using less than a pot sizing.(60% seems fine)

Cheers.

Ty Dekkers, ty a lot for another great video. A couple of questions if you don't mind

@ 8,40 with 33
Isn’t this a pure call preflop vs a 3bet?

@ 29, with call a x/r with AT
Even if we got a very small sample on the opponents, his stats are on the loose/aggressive side. We have a gutshot and we even if you spike an ace you might fold that vs big aggression, so we basically rely on hit our gutshot or outplay him. This type of opponent will fire up on most turns and he have to fold very very often. We don’t even have a backdoor flush…
I would fold 100% of the times but I’m on the nitty side. Too nitty?

@ 32 with KJo
I fold vs a 3barrel vs this kind of opponent, a 24/14, imho, doesn’t have any KQ or any high bluffing frequency.
But again, i’m on the nitty side and play NL25 so my adjustments and reads could be quite different

@ 39 with T9
Don’t you think the river size should be massive pretty much always? His range is inelastic and by betting smaller we would lose value. Yeah he might fold AQ, AJ type hands that he could sometimes have, but the majority of his value range are 2p and sets which we want to squeeze out as much value as possible

Thanks!
8.40: I think I didnt see his 3b size was that small, but yea alwasy call against his small 3b size

29: Thats right, if we hit or Ace on the turn we not happy. But hitting the K is a huge moneymaker, bc all his equity bluffs on the flop are picking up more equity on the K.( 9T/Axs/KT/K9. Yes folding AT here on the flop is bit too tight.

Hello Dekkers thks for the video.
at 28:09 table 1: I am struggling to understand why in the end a third barrel is the best move. is Vilain going to check/call again at the turn with his overpairs?
although he still can have some 66-77-99 he could fold River

Dekkers 5 years ago

yea I am targeting those 66778899 on the river, and yes he could have better overpairs aswell. but we dont need him to fold AA KK type of hands on the river to have enough Fold Equity.

Hi Dekkers ,

7:20 mark you are going over a hand with Ac4c and assign yourself this range for HJ vs btn. I was wondering if you are showing profit with 22-33, 65s-98s, 86s-97s, K7s-K6s, .. Snowie has most of these hands as folds and I see a lot of other coaches folding these hands.
