@56:00 i think the reason that you are only supposed to block bet on the river is cos you included a donking range ott in the sim (which you didn't have in game). as you are leading a lot of 5x ott, it probably prefers not to split ranges on the river and included whatever 5x is left over in the range in to the block in order to protect vs thin Kx raises/bluffs.
i assume if you excluded the donking range from OOP ott then you would have a much higher frequency of overbets on the river.
Yeah, I think you nailed it. Given the turn strat, we really don't have a substantial range that wants to put a lot money into the pot, so we block a mostly capped range and throw the good stuff in there as well.
30:30 table on the right. 3betting AJ against 16bb opener .
What hands would you use to balance this play? Broadways suited ?
32:00 table on the left 3betting more with no SB in the pot.
interesting , I would have think the opposite : since there is less money in the pot I would have risk less for a lower reward. So basically I would 3bet less often with my continues.
If I follow your logic this could be the same for pre-ante period ? We have lower immediate odds so we tend to 3bet more with our continues?
Just a quick question. At 18:18, you choose 9.1bb as a squeeze size with AKo versus two players. Then at 19:24 you choose a 3bet size of 9bb v the 2.5bb open, when you are both quite deep. Can you provide some insight into the logic of both sizings? With the AKo hand, are you trying to leverage the other players stacks as they are at 55bb so there won't be many non-all in 4bets?
