the dont mess up feeling you get, i think is natural when your playing in a specific game when your maybe not 100% comfortable or confident in yourself. I get this feeling sometimes when i play, maybe its during a downswing but i also think it stems from a fear of losing.
Fear is a big one. For me it is deeper in tournies where I don't make a play i should because i am afraid of it not working or of the chips i will lose even if it is +ev and good with icm. That fear of having come so far to just blow it all up from one misplay.
Dan,
Great video. Lots of good information about various types of mistakes a player can make. Would enjoy seeing a series of videos, perhaps the randomization video you spoke of or possibly a video on fear.
Nice summary of the different types of mistakes Dan. Do you actively track which types of mistake you make, e.g. with a table and a tally for each type? Or just trying to be cognizant of potential types of mistake is sufficient?

Dan Smith i would love to hear more about the topic of how to manage your range in spots like you describe at 21:50
It’s a spot I see the winning pros/regs do really well and really poorly
22:30 | Show us how nasty you really get if they don't check back any strong hands Big Dawg.

I think the Fear based mistake could deserve its own video, or mentioned in more depth in future videos.
Definitely wanna hear about randomization issues and strong check backs/lack thereof
Do you think strong pros face the fear issue? I constanstly have to monitor that in my play and am surprised, but glad you highlighted it .
Yes. Maybe at more complicated nodes than folding to 3bets , but it happens at all levels imo.

Great stuff Dan - would love to hear more about fear

This sort of thing will vary person to person imo
