When you say the goal is to win the most money and therefore win the blinds, I feel like we should probably be saying that often times we would rather play postflop vs way out of line ranges along with players who might make terrible mistakes. I think this definitely comes up very often and is considerably better than winning the blinds? Thoughts?
This about it this way. In NLH, there are about 4-5 hands that actually want to get called preflop (I think it was AA-QQ, AKs, maybe JJ). The rest did worse than 150bb/100. Which hands in PLO6 have such a large preflop edge as the above hands? Of course playing with fish is profitable and their wide ranges and bad play will make more of your hands profitable, but the built in fold equity is a large part of why we play hands in poker.
