In this scenario you were looking at UTG open, CO 3B, and then SB cold 4B. In the cold 4bet range for SB it doesn't have full frequency of AKo, but has small percentages of KQs, KJs, KTs, ATs etc. I understand that this is for board coverage, but do you think this solver range would perform better in real games than a range that includes 100% of AKo, then skips these marginal suited broadways?
matlittle Hard to say. I have definitely folded AKo pre 100-120bb deep in similar scenarios in the past without rly RNGing it. I usually try to follow the solver's advice here but I would be lying if I told you that I knew all of the fqcies by heart.
It's definitely good to have board coverage but I wouldn't go overboards w it. Vs good players though (1kNL+ maybe), I would def try to have decent board coverage in most situations that PIO deems worthy. I f you are playing 100nl, you can def simplify those charts.
Do you have any tips for cold 4betting vs recreational players? I assume that we just go super linear and forget about hands included for board coverage? Anything else important to consider?
You want hands that will dominate some of their calls and hands that play good in low SPR spots. So for example, AJo is def good because it will dominate most of the rec's Ax hands (recs dont fold Ax pre) and it will also dominate his other Jx hands (KJ-QJ-JT). KQo is another good candidate to c4bet pre vs recs.

Zoomed in on the image a bit:
