this is a great video with very solid and practical advice.
As someone who has been around poker for a long time, coaching and talking to alot of other poker players, I can say that this mindset of "oh this guy is bad I dont understand why he has so much success" is very prevalant amongst many poker players. And you pointed out two very important steps to overcome this. 1. Not comparing to others 2. Understanding that there are things you do not understand.
It is very healthy to just work on yourself and your own path and just compete with yourself instead of looking elsewhere.
I hope this video will reach everyone who needs to hear it
Hey Linc Thank you so much. Not even just in poker, this is so easily done everywhere else as well. Comparing and Judging are so often among the big things in depression as well.
So it is paramount to find ways to adjust the thinking.
If you want to coin it for poker, think about the EV have if you play with more energy and use less energy on comparison to others and judging them :)
Thanks for the video Chris. I love that this poker community is still trying to Improvise and improve its approach to all aspects of poker training. Long Live RIO.
i think comparing yourself to others constantly will only lead to your own un happiness. As well, you might see someone else and think how much of a better player you are than them, but you havent seen everything theyve done, work they put in or there perspective. All we can control is our own poker journey!
