Great vid again, thank you!

Regarding the multi-way spot with AJ on J97r. I loved the discussion but had some questions around choosing proper sizing in these spots. So this hands was 4-handed and our "big sizing" is 50% pot or something like that. If the hand was 3-handed, does the "big" sizing now go up a little? Is this sizing dictated by our pot equity? So basically as the hand has more players in it, our pot share decreases and therefore bet sizings decrease? Just trying to wrap my head around the concept of bet sizings in MW pots.

Cheers.

Saulty, I believe it has to do with the fact that we are betting into multiple undefined ranges. When this is the case we do not want to be putting a lot of money in the pot, so 50 % would be considered big for this situation. In a 3 way pot, the strength of the other 2 ranges would dictate the sizing, the stronger they are the smaller we are going to want to bet. Imo

There's no hard and fast rule, but generally if theres more people in the pot you want to risk less because risking big %s of pot into lots of people is just very very expensive.

You also don't need to risk as much because a smaller bet is more effective because you can leverage the stacks behind etc.

Apotheosis--this dialogue between two people format--very conducive to quality videos--being able to bounce ideas off one another, and to have one person be the genesis for an idea/question that the other might not have brought up, has made these past 2 videos very enjoyable

Around minute 32 AsKd on KhJh5s. Hero cbets 30% pot and folds to a c/r.. Nasty spot when cred large, but isn't that often a nut flush draw, pair and flush draw, or flush draw and straight draw? Maybe we should check back rather than b/f TPTK.

Apoth 5 years, 10 months ago

Yea it's not a great spot obviously once raised but we do great in the x/c line. You heard me advocate for bet/call immediately. That said, we noted villain is kinda tight and obviously the raise is huge. It's still close imo but call/fold turn is pretty reasonable.

betgo 5 years, 10 months ago

When villain sizes like this,it looks like he has a semibluff or a made hand he wants to potect against another heart and is planning to push the turn. So I don't see how we can call/fold on this wet board.

Apoth 5 years, 10 months ago

I'm not prepared to make the assumptions you're prepared to make given the limited data presented to us. If you feel he's exploitable in this manner then by all means exploit it but I think it's risky/ill-advised

42:27 i m not agree with the statement that he can bet OTT 80% pot wit AT AQ with one diamond. We block AQ and he dont need to bluff these hands. With hes hands he can chek call (Bluffcatch) OTT .

Was very curious about the thing you said that BB has lots of Qx combos. Isnt it std just x/shove Qx for BB on that board? They could call bottom Qx combos but we are cbeting here probably 90+ of our range so he should be fine with that. Or there is smth else i might not know about highstakes tendencieS. And what about x/r these flops, should we have ton of x/r bluffs here as you both mentioned that population dont raise here that much as they should.
