Great format! Also very useful explanations. I would love to see more of this :-)
Can you give a little more indepth explanation on why we are choosing a approx 100% checking strat on the last flop? How and why will it change if there wasnt a flushdraw?
Whenever we have range advantage both in equity and nutcombos we want to create a larger pot. Whenever we have these disadvantages we want to keep the pot smaller.
Being the PFR or the preflop caller doesn't matter but ranges do.
An example: If button opens KK+ and we only defend 44-77 and the board comes 345, button shouldn't be betting. We on the other hand have the range and nutadvantage so we should be leading very frequently.
On boards where we have an 20% openeningsrange and face a 4-5% coldcalling range we often have a range- and nutdisadvantage which leads to a lot of checking.
Especially medium connected boards are the ones we are checking close to 100% oop.
Flushdraws do not change it that significant, because normally suited cards are approximatelly equally well represented in both ranges.
Thanks Mark! How does cold caller have nut advantage on T52ss? Both have tt/55 and prob both have 22 similar amounts. I get cold caller has more equity bc on average their hands are pretty strong when flat pre, but nutted-wise, oop has the overpairs (cold caller doesnt) and same sets and neither has 2 pair
Depends on the stakes/ rake and position ofcourse. Button maybe around 5-8% of hands. 55-TT, some suited aces, some suited broadways, AQ, sc's, suited aces. Most of these hands should be mixed. Just check your database and see how these handclasses perform as cc's, 3bets etc.
probably it is not 100%, but nice work from mark anyway. it is rather easy with UTG, because it has tighter opening range. Would like to see maybe 1 texture but more wider ranges analysys
I think he deserves a lot of credit for making a video like this. There is room for improvement but I think the result is pretty good and definitely useful.
One small suggetion Mark. When Pio is on the screen, as the viewer, we generally follow your cursor as we listen to what you're saying, and often it guides us well, but sometimes you talk and just move the cursor randomly and subconsciously, which can be confusing.
I suggest trying to take note of your cursor movements as you speak and to not move the cursor if you're not moving it with intention.
Thanks for the video Mark. Particularly U compared strategy difference against tight vs loose cc ranges. We all know the concept, and u just made it clearer and in detail. I would say ur theory video is more helpful than live plays. Hope to see more of ur input on different topics in the future.

We have a wider openingsrange compared to his 5-10% cold calling range. So he relatively has more nutcombos.
Just what I was looking for thx!
What CC range do you recommend to work with vs a unknown reg opening 2.5x ? Unknown regs in blinds

This is not an elite video. Unless my standards are too high.

I'll try to meet your standards next time i make a video like this.
To be fair, it was helpfull, but you can do better.
