Owen Shiels aka ozzieowen fresh off his 10 part live tournament series takes a theoretical look at button play, particularly against both the SB and BB when they have reshove stacks. It is a situation that comes up often but is routinely botched and Owen looks to demonstrate exactly what hands should be played in this video.

Great video, thank you. It would be interesting to see a video, where you work with a database and create opening ranges based on stats like you mentioned in video (i think you mentioned % resteal). I was thinking about creating ranges but feel like the concept is too complicated for low stakes mtts.

Really enjoyed this content. The sheet is easy to use and your explanation was also good.
I'd appreciate if you produced more theoretical videos like this, using ICMizer. It helps us to construct more balanced ranges, since we can, for example, check if we are raise/calling to wide or to tight....

Wow! Such a great content. I enjoyed a lot. I am sure that my weakness is the maths part of the game and videos like this helps me to improve a lot. Thank you so much!

One question: there are hands in our calling range that are almost break even. Do you think that worths calling or prefer to keep your stack for a better spot?? (ex: JTs vs SB shoves = only 10.6 chips profitable)

Thanks again

Yeah I would wait for a better spot with hands that are almost break even. Your chips are your weapons in MTTs so you need to understand when to risk them. Risking chips for just barely above break even usually isnt a good idea in mtts.

Hi Owen,

When I open the linked spreadsheet, I receive a message that the file is in owner's trash. Any chance you can re-link the spreadsheet from this video? Thank you.
