I think the K3 fold isn't great against ftruncev - who you claimed to be a good reg, and can be using this size to leverage the ICM. I think at higher buy in MTTs this is probably a call, but against a random at say a $27 ft, I think that sizing is the nuts 90% of the time. Great vid - thanks for the honesty
Thanks bro. This was, of course, a troubling hand. Hope I conveyed how exploitable we are if we're folding in this spot. I agree with your thinking and think we should be calling here against good regs for sure.
About kq hand, limp/call bvb vs 26bb shorty - i played a bit in icmizer and put payout structure from yesterday (big 162 with 493 people in it), and put 3handed with these stacks like in your video and result is this:
villain jams 23%: TT-22,AQs-A2s,AQo-A5o,K9s+,KTo+,Q9s+,QTo+,J9s+,JTo,T9s
our kq is on BE boarder with 0,00% call
And who knows if he jams 23%... Those are icm calculations... Tbh I didnt like l/c vs 26bb when i watched vid so i checked. I still think this is not a spot we would like to take too much (i know its best scenario for us to fight vs shorty, rather then vs cl), but still i think we can try to chip up with some sort of small ball poker then take be spot.
And this was another great vid of you sir, i look forward watching part 3.
Thanks pal. You're evaluation is very useful. Although we could tweek the numbers a bit and suggest that maybe, as games currently play out, he also just raises AQs, AQo TT and 99. Hard to be sure though.
It's definitely not a spot where I'm certain what our range should be though. So this kind of feedback from subscribers is invaluable.
nice vid Sam. the 99s hand blind war i think its best to fold turn since hes not gonna expect you to have many floats on the flop oop and with that spr, so when you call flop you have made hand and your holdings are prolly the bottom of your calling range on this scenario imo and think hes shutting down a lot on turns
I think your right. Particularly as we have so much Ax we call with pre. Also as we tend towards an equilibrium strategy it is gonna punish his imbalances, like betting KK.
I just joined yesterday and so far I'm really enjoying your videos. In your most recent video you made that overbet with the JTs (around 6m mark) when you busted the straight and flush draws and I think I recall a few other very big bets that were bluffs. Wonder if ftruncev would be betting bluffs with same frequency with that sizing (talking about the K3 hand you folded) - we'll never know! In the past my big psb are almost always for value, but I'd like to start mixing in some bluffs. Thx again for the great vids.
Hi pal, thanks for such positive feedback. Really glad you're making the most of the membership and enjoying the videos. Comments and likes really mean a lot to myself and the other instructors.
Regarding your specific point; a lot of players do tend to be unbalanced, with regard to their overbets and if you identify that tendency in a villain, or the player pool, you can exploit it hard. As you identify the hand where I have K3, the villain has a run out where he can certainly employ an overbet strategy on the river and put me in a even tougher spot.
I've thought a lot about the hand and I think on reflection it is a very good bluff catcher and I should call down. However, anecdotally, I have the villain Fedor on skype and he told me he had T7, which makes a lot of sense, so on this occasion specifically it was a good fold.

Another high quality vid , Sam .
Thanks pal! means a lot. In general not so many people watch second parts of RIO vids, so it's real nice to get some positive feedback.
