Hi Dylan, vmuch enjoyed these 2 videos ty.

With the AQo hand (against PTWs K4s defend) you seemed to be in two minds, but i liked your initial assessment (check TPTK flop IP on wet texture). in the commentary you want flop+turn value against his draws - but part of this drawing range going to c/r rather than c/c c/c c/f.

do you believe that there's enough of a drawing range there that will oblige and c/c c/c to justify a b/decide line? (and how do you think he would have actually responded with K4hh here?)

Thanks silver.   After further reflection I believe the initial line to be best.   Basically because i expect him to turn many draws into bluffs/highpressure lines.   I think he might do so w/ K4hh since there are so many hands I might betflop and try to get cheap showdown with too.

33 at about 13 minutes in .... why is calling a bad idea? seems like we can just play position against a handcuffed stack pretty easily here. thoughts?

The idea behind flatting there is sound, but our hand specifically is a problem.   33 just lacks any real playability besides flopping sets, leaving us with not many flop textures to actually come after him on.  If we flat we are pretty much just hoping he check gives up. Id much rather have a broadway hand or suited connector etc.

Hello, t.y very much for the video.

One question why not to try just flat on 20:18 with J8s and try to overplay him after the flop, we are pretty deep have position and hands like this play pretty well on the flop.

Dylan Linde 10 years, 6 months ago

Hey efod,   I think there would be a good amount of hands that I could flat with there, but J8s just isnt quite strong enough.   Certainly would be a good spot for some shenanigans vs an opponent with a looser UTG range, but this opponent had been playing relatively solid.   Very difficult to flat with the intention of outplaying someone postflop when their preflop range is that strong.

4 min in, the A4s hand, you talk about the possibility of bluffing. With a player ai in the sb, your bluff will first have to work, and then you'll have to win at showdown vs sb. i don't think there was much in the sidepot...

ok, you covered that right after i hit play lol. i don't think A high has a whole lot of showdown value on that board thugh...
