With A3o around the 11 minute mark: Do you think it's ever worth checking the river after the turn goes check/check? I struggle with monotone flops a lot and maybe I'm playing them too nitty but I feel like most people play them very ABC and I am not sure how often we get a call from Qx. You've been pretty active, though, so maybe that changes things? I guess I feel like he's more likely to fire air or fire Tx hoping to get us off of Qx at the end if we take the passive route and check again. I loved this entire series. Looking forward to the next one. Happy New Year.
David Emmons12 years, 2 months agoi absolutely do. i think check turn is better and more standard for me even with no other factors. ya just recorded a live video/audio that i had a lot of fun with and will be part 1 of 4 next week. thanks for being such a good video watcher and commentator and friend. also i got the mic out of my mouth for the live series so u cant hear my breathing.
JimyT12 years, 2 months agoReally enjoying this video series! Your style of presenting, while kind of all over the place, is extremely entertaining and makes watching poker vids actually enjoyable (I was entertained all the way throughout this series, as well as feeling like I'm getting useful information).
One general piece of feedback I would give is that you often refer to the best actions against our opponents (preflop) based on their sizings/postions without actually breaking down their ranges; discussing what type of hands you expect them to be bluffing with or how wide you expect them to be goingf or value. I guess this is because it's 'obvious' to you, but would be very interesting to hear this breakdown out loud.
Keep em coming!

Dougie Whitehead12 years, 2 months agoGreat series david, loved it. great layed back style as well as being very informative, cant wait for the next one. Looking foward to seeing more turn and river play, as your opponents were folding alot to your c bets in this series, you seem to have a edge on these streets when you get to them, maybe one off video's on turn play and river play would love to hear more
David Emmons12 years, 2 months agomuch appreciated dougie! honestly i would rather make headsup cash videos over anything for this exact reason (it is very very much a postflop game). live hu cash vids i would prefer but since i switched to mtt's a couple years ago and am i guess "known" for them obv im making tourneys for now though. if we get enough request for more postflop play though i sure wouldent mind catering :D next 4 vids are live recordings of 6 table mtts and theres some postflop play but as you would expect more pre-flop than anything.
