Wolverines12 years, 3 months agoAt around 31:30 with the 89dd hand, whats the reason that you prefer a bet/call vs a bet/3bet all in? With a bet/3bet we can see both turn/river and possibly get it in good vs 85s and 45s. We also get folds from gutters and even some random 6x and 7x hands that fish c/r fold from time to time. I feel like when we flat we just have to fold so many turns vs hands that we could have folded out on the flop. What do you think?

David Emmons12 years, 3 months agowolverines you raise a really good point. i think bet/3b is better than bet call because my implied odds arent good enough to just call...there were a few hands i liked less this third time watching. i made a few simple math mistakes when recording as mr moon pointed out. appreciate the comments, and i think bet/call might be worse than 3bai and check behind with 89dd. glad u guys r enjoying it and like i said i look forward very much to recording a live 4-6 table all day session while my roomates are home for holidays.
Boang3312 years, 3 months agoIn the hand at 31m w 98o what is your plan on the turn? My default play is to rr to like 12k (esp given the way the AQ < AK hand went down), because it seems it's just going to be too hard to win otherwise.
David Emmons12 years, 2 months agowant to be clear here boang, because i have 89 twice at 31 minutes. the 89o is what i think you are asking about, and you are recomending a raise on the flop to 12k. i like this idea and i think you can get away with even smaller, say 9.5k. let me know if this is what you meant as there was a lot of action with 89 around that time! thanks for watching and commenting.
Boang3312 years, 2 months agoYeah that was, thanks. I'm just trying to get in your head there, do you think there are enough opportunities to take it away on the turn to go along with your gutshot odds, and is that a standard line you take?
Joseph Spanne12 years, 2 months ago22 minutes in you said you raised t9o utg w 13bb and it was a losing play and you dont know why you did it, dont be so hard on yourself you had 26bb lol ;)
David Emmons12 years, 2 months agoya i know man im soooo dumb. it happens to me kind of a lot where i confuse the size of a minraise with the size of a big blind. i dont know why really, but it happens to me a few times a day, but only when im talkingl thanks for watching buddy, watch the live ones that came out today.
part two left out with you having a 50k stack, suddenly in part 3 you have 140k stack and the blind levels are definatly a few steps forward, maybe iv missed a part lol
