2010 HUD xD
Great video, not surprised by crushing results. If you wanted to, you could be playing highest limits online nl100k or whatever (with some work done of course)
yeah id buy any course you make man, with the aq hand hes not suppose to shove river ever in theory do you think he realizes this when he's bluffing and just goes for it with value, the reason is you can have 9x with c and k9o with c
i noticed you have made your 3bet size in the small blind smaller. before i saw you go to about 12.5x vs a 2.5x. In this video saw 10x being your size.
Any reason for this? One guess I have is that you just want to see more flops vs your opponents?
No strong reason, both sizes are fine optimally. It's mostly that the 10x is used vs the 2.5x in the rake structure and also as you said, I like playing relatively more postflop even OOP as opposed to more 4b/fold where I have less of a (relative) advantage.
23.30 KK flat preflop on BTN
I like the call, despite the outcome. I know that Xeliqq has pretty high barrelling stats too which adds to the EV of this play too. Lots of red stats on the HUD for him so aggressive all round.
If we have a player behind us that is getting way out of line with squeezes, 3bets etc, then do you think it's a good idea to build in a back-raise range? I play against some players with ridiculous percentages for 3bet and squeeze and have been experimenting with this idea a little.
I play against some very very out of line players (e.g. squeezing 20%). I guess I will reserve this play for those exact players and otherwise won't back-raise, thanks!
2.00 JT on Q83Q
I like the 1/4 turn sizing after checking back the flop - the equilibrium response to that bet sizing is pretty different to how people respond to it in my experience, and is very tough to replicate. Having said that, I was impressed that in thejericho2's video he managed to name the exact cut-off point for calling (K9).
I think you can probably just range bet the flop on this board though?
Course could be good if you come up with a nice structure and format. Otherwise, some themed HH videos or similar for normal sub could be interesting. It would also be great to get you on the monthly elite call. Always learned a lot from your overall approach in poker including handling variance, staking and routine (or lack of it) for studying.
For various life reasons, it's looking like I won't be making a course anytime soon.
I am glad for the feedback. When Dan pitched me on the idea I got intimidated because my approach to poker has always been driven more by in the moment excitement and less by an ability to be systematic. The most promising idea we came up with was a course on how to beat 500z, the idea being that I wouldn't be responsible for a baseline level of knowledge (assuming viewers already had that) but I could instead make a series of videos on the sorts of adjustments and ideas I was using to beat tough games.
Why is the release date Dec 17th? I think some people might not even watch this video because of the archive date.
Sauce123 whats the WR on your overall sample for 500z? Was the 40k hand sample just a new strategy that you are tracking separately?
Also did you know DrLuck is also a rio coach? You refer to him a few times in the video as overly aggressive. Happy to see Gabi_Igna back in the pool as well. Have not seen him in a long time!

Quite the win rate - poker not dead... Even a lower confidence bound looks pretty good.

It has to be very very out of line to make these plays good
You can do this with some close hands though, especially AK.

I agree you can range bet flop. I prefer to play the delated nodes and mix in some larger bets on flop.
Nice to have you back making videos.

Also Sauce123 is your F3B OOP correct? I see xeliq at 33 over 3k hands. That does not seem correct.
Hi Sauce!
Would you say the most important three HID stats.. by a wide margin.. are:the following?:
Sample size
VPIP
PFR
10 years in and still no PLO sauce videos =(
Maybe on the comeback? Would be a dream come true =D
