Thanks for the video. I have a truly newbie PLO question. Playing in a loose environment (villain vpip 60+), what approach would you recommend with high overpairs (eg AAxx, maybe with a limited backdoor or a gutshot, ie not great, but not nothing) on boards that are not favorable? In the video, you recommend almost always 3betting AAxx to isolate. Say we successfully isolated the single raiser in SB vs BB, but the board comes rather unfavorable for bare AA. What would be our basic strategy for such situation against microstakes population?
Glad you liked it. Generally in 3b pots, the IP/OOP strategies are different. As the in position 3betor, you're taking advantage of taking the free card by checking back. If you absolutely don't connect to a board (unless 23x,24x,25x), you're looking to check back tons. OOP frequently bets full pot to make it a flop/turn game , lowering IP's advantage and rarely playing river SPR's of 1. This all depends on texture and that's why PLO is a difficult game ;)
At 28 minutes in, you fold AJQQr in the SB to an open. Is this standard muck for you? What if you had a suit to the queen, what about to the ace? Can you explain why you folded this hand? I know its rainbow but it's decently nutted enough for OOP vs .01/.02 players no?
The rake you checked at the end is for no limit and pot limit holdem and not for plo. The rake for plo is a little lower than holdem.
Fun thing is that plo on stars is cheaper than on partypoker (if you can't get rakeback).
Plo 2 on PP is 5% rake and capped at 50 cents and on stars it's 3,3% and capped at 30 cents.
Many thanks for this excellent vid! You're very clear in laying out your thought process. Not all other coaches have that talent. (And I writing this as somebody who teaches at university, so I think of myself having at least a bit of pedagogical expertise haha.)

Please give Andreas more videotime! We have so little essential PLO content these days. I love his live play videos.
Thank you for this excellent beginner PLO video!
Thanks for this. I enjoy PLO but only play a little. I reviewed my database and have lost 10bb per 100. Will play lower and try and learn from this

AQQJr SBv CO is almost indifferent between calling and folding and will depend on rake structure. It will not affect your bottom line folding it.
