First vid from you i saw. Im not use to open hands like AhKh87 22:14 and A966ds 26:48 from utg. What are like key factors why you open this hands (tight blinds, not 3bettors ip,people folding too much postflop etc)? Thanks for the vid, waiting for next one already!
An easy guide to have an opening range is going to propokertools.com and ranking your hands. Lets assume we are going to open from 15-30% utg depending on many factors (later on this) , so basically you just write your hand and rank it and see this:
a966$ds ranks 17% and AhKh87 ranks 11% , I look at 10H because that reflect better its playability.
Now, second part is what do we look for when we open in early position.
Most regs wont mess a ton with UTG , obviously we are going to have a strong range UTG so theres no incentive to be 3betting us lightly, but there are some that likes to 3bet around 10-12% IP (specially button) and I will play on the tighter side with this guys.
I dont care much about who is in the blinds, its true that some of them underdefend their blinds so its good to steal more, but when you open UTG you are not going to win a pot uncontested that often so you can dismiss this factor.
If they guys that have position on me are really tough to play against, ill way on the tghter side, and if there are fun players i will open my range a little bit so I can play against them even OOP.
When we are playing deeper we should tighten our range also, position is such a powerful tool in omaha that you shoudl go easy on this until you feel very comfortable, but always on the tight side.
I cant decide to open or not based on postflop tendencies cause of the fact that is a long shot to know whos gonna call and if only one, so postflop tendencies are not taken in consideration at all.
Absolutely mind blowing stuff. Especially when you realized that you were most likely behind in that hand vs MikeMaverick and then increased your EV by running it once is just what separates the break even grinders from the crushers.
I was confused about some stuff though, like when you flatted KK53rb in the SB in minute 1 vs a cutoff open and said you could do that because of the dead money after a likely BB fold; later you overcalled in the SB KKQ3hh and said you don't like it, even with better odds and also a possible dead BB in the pot. Shouldn't it benefit us with this hand when there is multiple players in the pot and we flop a set?
Thank you!
kk53r is a pretty bad hand, with poor playability and we are going to be OOP and have to the risk to get squeezed so basically is a bad call in most scenarios unless I think BB is going to fold so much in this post that actually my call becomes better than folding.
Second scenario, my call is good actually, i really dont know what was going trough my head at that time. In multiway pots you want to have hands that dominates all your opponent ranges, so basically big pairs, big rundowns, big suited hands are the nuts for this. In this case my hand plays awesome multiway cause im going to overset a ton and with 3-4 people going to the flop, mis SPR, and players playing str8forwardly, my position becomes a little irrelevant so its a good call preflop.
im sorry for the confusion !
I have a couple questions about some of your preflop folds. These might be standard so I apologize if so. I will list them for you.
00:45 as you're talking about people overfolding their blinds you open fold QQ92ss from co, weird juxtaposition ;-)
18:00 hj opens for 3x you fold CO with QxQdJd4x.
I'm not a nlhe player who sees QQ and doesn't understand how you can fold these just seem like at least decent spots to vpip and you didn't give any discussion to the folds so maybe they're more standard than I think?
You should not apologize when you have doubts even if they are standard !
QQ92$ss : If you watch video i make a small pause, Im gonna guess i just collapsed trying to speak and playing, im more nervous at the begginning of the videos so yes its a bad fold. we are going to be opening from the CO from 25-45% depending on many factors, in this case opening 35%+ sounds good and this hand ranks 30% aprox so obviously this is a good candidate.
Second hand. yes i went tight in that fold. i looked at some numbers in my database and actually im underrating qq$ss a little bit so thanks for making me notice that. This seems like an ok call to do vs a 25% opener.
You see... your questions werent so trivial, I found a leak in my game, thanks !
It seems I made some nitty fold during the footage. No reason to fold this hand having position, and A high suit and conectiveness between 3 of them . This is a happy call.

Dude, you need to make your background hyper simple and use some prettier cards! Fun video though, vamo!!
Ive tried many times to change background but always feel ultra uncomfortable and lose focus.
Glad u liked it !

Why fold Ah6h78 on the button vs mp open and co caller around 6.20 mark?

sorry but just a really bad vid.
If you struggle playing and talking it might be better to do session reviews or concept videos.
The runitonce to induce suckout was epic btw. :-)
thanks for your comments, will do my best to improve.
