Welcome to RIO! Nice first video. This was a good node to cover and it was good to see how much our cbet strat changes based on board texture. I know I can be quite lazy in these spots and just cbet everything and I definitely don't xr enough oop.

Thank you ^^. Yeah indeed it's quite difficult to find enough xR oop, which loses us quite some EV if we assume a lot of villains just cbet range most boards. Because of this, cbetting range on most textures is quite an effective simplification.

Hello Alexandra, welcome to RIO and thanks for a good first video!

Does your sample from 200 and 500nl show that regs are 4betting a balanced range preflop, or are they missing some of the bluffs/merged hands?

Please can I ask which Hand2Note popup you are using at around 17.00 onwards? Is it one you created or bought?

Hey there. Thank you.

Data shows that better regs (48 WWSF+ is my filter) are quite balanced with 4bets, while the more passive ones miss some bluffs, but also some mergy-ish value, as in they don't 4b enough TT-QQ for example.

Pop-up is bought from H2N store, it's Cash Analytics.

Truly a great debut on an underrated topic, I've been waiting for a video like this for a long time. About monotone board, how we defend as SB?
Will you cover also dinamycs where the aggressor is OOP (BvB, COvsBTN) in some future videos?

Alexandra Fagaras 1 year, 5 months ago

Yes, I'll keep in mind BvB and COvBU (they are quite different as CO's range is usually linear while SB's range is, or should be polar)

For monotone boards, flushes are usually not that relevant when SPR is this low, so approaching them similar to two-tone boards is a good simplification. Although they are usually worse for IP. It depends on which cards are blocked by the board. OOP usually has Broadway flushes full freq, so the more broadways are blocked the less relevant flushes are.

Still, I wouldn't worry too much about those as it is such an infrequent spot. (monotone board in 4bp)

Even at stakes as low as 25 and 50nl today, 4b pots are pretty common and naturally have a drastic effect on your winrate. What is interesting is spots where you have to get the money in that feel "punty", - as you put it - but are 100% GTO approved. Once again, this is why it's invaluable to be able to upload and analyze your hands now.
