Hey, Alex Theologis - Thanks for another great video! I enjoy the "wild side" =)
Theoretical concept idea: "What (the f*) is NLHE poker?"
- While I'm mostly kidding, I can't quite seem to figure it out exactly. It seems to be something like a perpetual sequence of "range vs range" interactions (at least postflop), where bet, pot and stack sizes are taken into consideration in order to find the optimal strategy. I know this may appear trivial or even pointless, but any input that you may have on the topic would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you for your comment, when I mentioned theoretical concept I was more referring to let's say EP vs BTN 30bb, haha. Regarding your question, I think it's important to keep reminding ourselves that the goal of the game is to win the blinds. That's why there is action - if there were no blinds, noone would be incentivized to play any hand at all. So from that point on it's a very length journey about discovering the optimal way to win the blinds as often as possible.
Ahhhh, very nicely said, and thank you! I was neglecting the preflop aspect, but while reading your comment I realized that this is indeed the core or "root" of what poker is. While it may seem like a pretty silly comment/question to ask an Elite coach, especially someone like yourself who I would place in the top handful of Elite coaches, your answer really is sincerely helpful for me and I thank you for your answer and for your time!
Hey, nice video, thx for that. do u think one day u could do a video where u review a bunch of hands u played, where u double barrel as a bluff/semi bluff (prbly mostly as the pfrzr), then arrive at the river and sometimes u triple barrel and sometimes u give up. then state ur reasons for doing so in each case. i have a good idea of the reasons for bluffing or giving up, but i think a full video of this would help to solidify it.
Thank you Alex. I enjoed all your videos a lot. After viewing all of them in sequence I played a 200$ MTT with the plan to focus on implementing all the "gems" you put in the videos. I ended up winning it for a nice 15k score :) Alex Theologis
