@ 20 min : snap fold KQJT on the btn?

Ya, a rainbow rundown is a bad hand in o8. Also vs a tight range opening HJ, it plays very poorly. In o8 you want to be playing two sided hands for the most part, and if I'm going to play a one sided hand, i'd want it to be double suited with an A, like AJT9ds or maybe KQJTds/KKQJ if it's likely to go multi-way or I'm gettting a great price.

26 min Q497ds on left. Why is it a stanard calldown? Is it a standard flat pre? WHy? 74 doesnt seems really strong

Christopher George 8 years, 1 month ago

Yes it is a standard flat pre. Versus a BTN range we can call close to 90% of hands. We are getting a great price, and in O8 the equities run so close that it's going to be good to call. A live 4 with a pair of sevens i hard to sccop. He'd have to have A3 to scoop me, and after he checks back flop we can get rid of A3 combos as well as most low combos, so a live 4 and a pair is in great shape.

Thx Georg for the quick answer, really great vid btw :)

Cant he have 65,64,63,54,53,73, with some additional EQ? Or he would almost always cbet these type of hands?

Christopher George 8 years, 1 month ago

He should be betting most of his low's with a gutter, and will likely bet most made lows with any additional equity. Definitely all the 6x combos with low + pair, and we block 73 combos so not too many of those.

I tend to agree with Sensei Madrid here that the turn is a fold. I like calling pre but you're basically putting in $16 to win $13 since it seems that you are rarely scooping here. Pot is small as well. If you are going to call down I think you should be betting the turn as a semi-bluff as your opponent can fold AKQJ, heart draws, etc on turn.
