Awesome video. Somehow I found myself in both categories. One way trying to improve in every way but on the other fearing to lose the label of "intelligent child". Thanks again.
Sometimes I catch myself in the wrong mindset but I get over it easier since I started dedicating much more in studying. As I get more confortable playing situations because I aknowledged the logic behind them(thanks to study) I get more disatached on the outcome of the situation.
Its the first one I see from you so I can´t comment your english advances BUT I can say that I understood every word you said.
Thanks for your good work, this concepts are really important and it applies to so many situations in life generaly.
Another great video, from my favorite RIO instructor, which adds a lot of value to me. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge and please continue :)
I swing between growth and fixed. Sometimes during extended downswings I become more fixed mindset, I am in the biggest/longest downswing stretch of my life. But I did 80% study and 20% play last month which I'm pretty proud of. It's setting me up for the proper mindset for continued longterm success in poker! I have faith! Will keep doing what I'm doing maybe 50% play 50% study this month and slowly make it ~ 80% play 20% study.
I always thought I have a growth mindset most of the time, but I realized the intelligence label causes a fixed mindset sometimes. Especially starting something new and having to make a lot of mistakes and start over again before I can master the new concept or skill can make me feel like I am not as intelligent as I think I am. Also it is an eye opener that have a growth or fixed mindset can be different for different areas of life.
Thank You Leszek for this nice content . Nice boost, it is the right approach to keep focusing on the right things in order to get better every day whatever is happening. I also liked the kids analogy , i tend to over support my kids to make them confident and I understand better it was not the best approach to give them a growth mindset. My little Girl is just crying when she does not meet the good image i praised and tend to give up when I ask her difficults tasks recently.
Attitude is everything! I sold cars for half a decade and during that time, I tried to stay sharp (like we do with RIO training and other resources to improve our game at poker) practicing good salesmanship, dealing with people correctly, and during my research and development period, I came across a book by Napolean Hill, called, "Law of Success," with nothing but practical approaches to living, thinking, business, and everything that matters with the Growth Mindset --- this is great stuff and is a way of life. Thank you Leszek. Good luck at the tables and in life and hope all is well!

A great reminder of how hard working and open-minded one has to be to become successful in anything. Thank you, Leszek.
