At 22:17 when you say you are value betting with 34dd in that spot... I know you say villain is a bit of a station, however with little history against him isn't this an auto-check? It just seems that with the given board texture, if he is still in this hand at the river isn't he always showing middle straight at worst here?

Also, you say "very standard spot" many times during the course of the video. If you could possibly dive in to detail a bit more...ex. betting super dry flops with over cards oop, your 4 bet with QQ, it would be greatly appreciated.

Weeeell, I did vbet in-game, true, but even during this video I said I don't think it's a vbet. It's probably somewhat close but yeah, I'm leaning towards x/b now even more.
The thing about standard spots is that I wouldn't go anywhere with all the vids - I'd just keep going through same spots. So if I don't provide any explanation - just ask it in the comments, I'll def. respond.

57s
I dont think it cares much us having 2 spades. Normal I wouldn't expect regs to be xcalling turn with a fd(without
showdownvalue). As you said 57s is the bottum of our range, so I will bet this.

30:00 K9: I think K9 is on the bottum of our range. I like to lead the river.

I'm not that certain about K9. 5 river is indeed a very good one for us but his range has just about all overpairs which means his range is unusually strong for a bet - check line and with the board being double paired we don't have a crazy amount of value hands - I don't think we can vbet our 1pair hands. I think I prefer having them in my x/c range anyways to protect my A-highs which I have a lot.
With all that in mind we can't really be bluffing wide and we do have plenty of lower Kxs Qxs even some Jxs hands as well as a few 79s type of hands that had 3 to a straight + bdfd OTF.
Last thing - I don't think the value of bluffing with K-high is going to outweight the value of a check (I guess the frequency of him betting is going to be quite high when compared to other potential bet check bet scenarios but still not high enough) so I'm fine not bluffing this hand even if it means I'm underbluffing this spot.
Regarding the 57s, at what time did this hand happen? Is this the one where I raise cbet in 3b pot and if so, I don't really get what you're trying to say.

19:00 TBL 1: What is the plan for some different rivers if the turn lead is called?
I assume virtually never fold so mostly x/c or bet

Jonas Smailys 10 years ago

Yep, x/calling most rivers. The only river I'd vbet for sure is a 5 giving me a 2pair, the J river is kinda interesting as well, probably a vbet as well.

K9: Agreed (I am not floating that wide on the flop so prob my range is too tight/strong where k9 is close to the bottum of my range)

57s 14:22
I think we will valuebet KQ+? This will be 52 value combo's. We want around 25 blufs. I think 9T and KT our some better to bluf(we block his callingsrange). with 75s we block some of his foldingsrange like 53s 45s 74s. So I like the check if we want be balanced.

About 57s yeah, we've got a crazy amount of ofsuit hands that are really great for bluffing so we shouldn't include 57s and the likes.
