Great coaching video.

I was wondering what kind of study a good reg playing at your stakes would do after a session like this. You seem to have a clear idea of your strategy on every kind of board texture so it would be interesting to know which would be the spots or areas you will look for improvement and how you would go about it. Sorry if this is a broad question, but I'm just looking for a broad answer :)

Thats indeed a question that's tough to answer.
I still discuss hand histories with a few players about the most interesting spots, but not after every session, think about 1 out of 3 sessions. And lately I have been experimenting with crev, def can recommend that to anyone, the outcomes are just very suprising sometimes.
And of course watch the videos of other coaches to improve as well ;)

Hey teunuss, great video as usual. With what hands do you recommend to limp reraise as a bluff blind versus blind when we have a limp strategy in the small blind ? Do you prefer to choose hands with as blocker or hand with a better jouability postflop and with which we can't peel preflop very profitably ?

Can't really give you my exact range here, but I use an overall playable/board coverage range, think only 3betting some A2-A5o/Kxo combo's would be a mistake.
Usually indeed the hands that we can't profitably peel pre.

great vid again.
at 11min with ur KJ and cbet depolar and get to turn on 9546. do you cbet flop with entire range? can't see much reason to split range here so this sizing of 57 into 160 seems good with whole range given range edge and vulnerability of a lot of hands.
On turn, I assume you bet 3 streets with JJ+ but when you check, how many c/c hands do you mix in? Bc he can get to turn relatively cheaply so if you give up with a lot of over card combos he has easy float. Its hard because you have a lot of over card combos with no draw really that sorta want to check and give up but you can't really check many overpairs given how drawy the board is. In addition, its sort of tough to develop c/r range with overapirs to stop him from stealing given he has all the sets and a variety of 2pr/straights and u dont.
What do you expect him to bet with on turn for value? do you think he protection bets that sizing of 166 into 265 with 9x and hands like 77/88/76s? Seems like a pretty cool spot where on that turn you may have to overfold a bit with hands like AKo AQo AJo KQo and then the QJs KJs JTs that dont have a FD. could you bet like 50% jj-aa on turn and c/c 50%? seems alright depending on how often he value cuts self with protection betting and he may put money in for you with draws
Also, at 25min, isn't your AJ vbet on turn on JT7T a bit thin? he will polar from the BB so I dont see him having much QJ KJ J9 that u normally can get value from. He probably does have a decent amt of Tx in from c/c range. Also, do you have the off suit 98 combos? and seems u may have a lot of thin vbet combos on this turn like KJ AJ which u have off suit combos of. Therefore, u cud get c/r by hands like KQ and then his Tx/JJ combos if he knows ur gunna check back river a lot.
And at 43min, you cbet 82 into 150 on AT8ss, I was wondering why you pick this size? do u cbet some Axs or JJ-KK or Tx like KTs? Because if not, we are fairly polar and wouldn't we want to bet a bit larger like 100-105 into 150?

I am indeed betting this sizing to bet my whole range, I think this usually works best on this board texture with a sb 3betting range (with a 3b or fold range).
I think this turn that brings the second flushdraw actually incentives me to set up a c/r range. A lot of my valuerange is interested in protection here, and we have a good amount of pair+draw or good draws to mix in here.
But as you said, the strategy to bet half of my overpairs and check half of them makes some sense as well since we are giving up so many broadway hands here. I do prefer the c/r strategy tho, don't think I have to be worried about many 2ps that he will have that I don't, he will have a couple more sets.

I personally wouldnt bet too light for value/proteciton as button because I think most sb strategies will include a c/r range here. So I think he checks a large percentage of those 77/88/67s.

@25m agree, I think my logic is a bit off here ingame, check seems a lot better for the reasons you stated.

@43 its 92 into 150, so thats 60% pot. Agree again :), a little larger makes sense since I intend to be polarized here.

great video!

I guess you don't have a raising range when using a small turndonk bet strategy in both 6max and HU. Is that right?

Is there any way to compare EV of donking strategy to old school only check-raise strategy?

If it is not a secret can you tell us how you construct that ranges. I realize that most important is turn card but for some reason I don't feel comfortable using that strategy in 6max.

Thanks!

Nice video teunuss :)

A2o 4:35 you say it is close to check call turn, but I think it's very marginal and even EV- because we don't know if villain is firing some portion of his bluffs on the river again, but given that Im much more inclined to find a fold on the turn, avoiding those guessing games on river, also he gets to realize his equity with all his pure bluffs.

11:17 Don't you think that cbetting the KJo there could be very exploitable? I read post above, but even if we bet smaller to bet all our whole range(I guess it means100% cbet) doesn't he have a very profitable float/raise cbet if we cbetting the QJo KJo KQo ATo AJo AQo AKo? Because then we are check folding or we cant fire most of the turns I guess (I don't know how you plan that hand), and he still will float you with some of those combos some of the time given villain is ip;

Thoughts on this?

Thank you sir ! :)
