Nice video Cory! 2nd hand with KQT9ss on the T72s texture; do you recall what Monker says in general for that spot if let's say instead of the flush blocker you had the BDFD? I used to be a little too passive in that exact spot for the same reasons you mentioned, but have found myself recently betting more often with those types of combos with the flush blocker. I figured with the BDFD we would be doing at least some x/c as it has some playability on runouts, but I have been mixing it just because I am not 100% sure and then checking more often than not the same combos without any type of flush blocking or BDFD components. I have been helping analyze some sims for students and other players, but I am not currently running my own sims at the moment, so that's why I ask. Thanks!
It seems like we primarily want to be checking when we have a BDFD without an additional flush draw blocker and mostly want to be betting when we have the extra blocker.
This reminds me of an old interview Joe Ingram did with Ben Tollerene where Ben stated cagily that we shouldn't disregard any blocker. Lots of hidden wisdom in those old shows.
Hey Cory, great video as always. You create the best PLO content. I have MonkerSolver too and I was wondering how you make these bucket graphs? I find them a lot easier to study than those long combo lists. Thanks a lot!
I do it the old fashioned way by entering the data into an excel spreadsheet and using the graphing function. Sadly I don't currently have the programming skill to automate the process and when I've looked into it, the process seems rather difficult. On the plus side though, I've made hundreds of these so I have a unique backlog of solver visualizations that no one else in the world has :)
Hey Cory. Sorry for such a technical question but Could you go over the process of creating a chart from monker ie. how do you remove hands from a range and how do you see what percent of a hand type u have
Outstanding, i imagine these solver videos are pretty labor intensive.
This format of dicussing theory which incorporates charts, graphs, hand histories, audio, etc is what makes them so rich. I hope you will continue making videos in this same theme/format
Great video, please bring more! A friend of mine wonders where you got that equity numbers (at the bottom) from, you can't get them from monker, right?
Yeah I do. Just open up the range vs range equity window when you have each subrange typed into monker. If you have A8!(54,53,34)!(aa,88,22) typed in on A82r and open the equity window, you get the equity of all the A8xx without gutters vs their range.

Thanks man, glad you found it useful.

Okay, yeah I thought that could be the case, but happy to get confirmation.
Yes, those were awesome! Ben seems like he is very smart. Appreciate the feedback.
Nice video, thanks Cory!

Definitely, I'm working on my next one right now
