Credit to CantWinAFlip for making an unconventional play that got me so out of my comfort zone! Trying to figure out a "new" spot on-the-fly while also providing (useful) commentary can be difficult.
I still agree with my river check. My reasoning, in hindsight, is that we don't have enough value bets in our range after not raising turn for a hand as strong as AJ to be a bluff. Had I raised turn, which I'm not sure is the play with this combo, I think this had would be a much more reasonable river bluff.
Hi Paul! Nice vid ,it's nice to see you got upgraded...some thoughts about the footage:
-Totally agree ,and as you said that donkBet shouldn't be a thing for him.
-Im curious about the 4b hand with QQ (min 33), you said that villain was on the passive side and thats why you folded...do you check the wwsf for spots like this? I tend to link up three stats (wtsd/wwsf/wonSD) and come up with a conclusion but having a decent sample (you only got 400 hands on him)...wath's your default thought process for spots like this with little info?
-You have 3 stats outside the main HUD...wich are those?
I tend to link up three stats (wtsd/wwsf/wonSD) and come up with a conclusion
I do the same! The higher their WSD in my sample, the lower I assume their "true" WWSF is (and vice versa). In my sample, this player had a WSD of 60 (which is pretty high) while still only having a WWSF of 45.
How do you tend to link these 3 stats? Is there any sort of formula you can use to get a number that would give truer impression of players aggression/style?
I assume the gap between WWSF and W$SD would indicate how aggr people are but not sure how to use WTSD in there? If that's high along with the others likely that its run good over aggression for sample?

No formula, I just consider all three.
Ex 1)
Player A (1k sample)
WTSD = 35
WWSF = 50
WSD = 60
That's a relatively high WTSD and WSD. This suggests that he's running hot and getting a lot of good hands (he's going to showdown a bunch, and he's winning at showdown at bunch). This might mean that his "true" WWSF is a decent bit lower than 50.
Ex 2)
Player B (1k sample)
WTSD = 28
WWSF = 44
WSD = 40
WTSD is pretty normal here, but his WSD is really low. This suggests that he's running poorly and that his "true" WWSF might be higher than 44.
I would have never thought that a sim would think its a fold since it shouldn't have to deal with domination issues as there won't often be higher Qx/Jx in btn 4betting range. I suppose the sim figures most people over defending vs 4bets in this spot and the lower SCs are just added for a bit of board coverage.
Yeah, I wish I could give a better reason than "that's what the sim does", but that's pretty much it. It did seem weird to me the first time I saw it too.
Hi. Minute 9, the river bet with A7, I don't really get. Are we hoping to get paid by 6x exclusively? Or perhaps A high putting us on QJ, KJ and KQ? But in that case we also block those calls...I play much lower but this seems to have gone over my head.
I PIO'd this hand and my line is okay, but it should occur much less frequently with my exact combo than I expected. My hand is often a fold otf, and then a sometimes block/mostly check otr.
We can definitely still get called by worse (certain A high, 6x, PP). I wouldn't worry too much about blocking a single A in such a wide range situation where he has basically every Ax pre.
Thanks for vid.

Q6ss we open co (is this profitable with 3 regs behind?) and double barrel full pot on turn KJ2hhhTc. What rivers are you following through on here if any?
Q6ss we open co (is this profitable with 3 regs behind?)
Bottom of range open. I might fold if they were overly aggro 3brs.

I could consider bluffing this combo on some 4th heart rivers. This combo will mostly give up on blanks, though. We probably don't want to hold a Q in this spot since we're blocking 2nd/3rd pair call + call + fold combos.
Hey Paul, great video and congrats on becoming an elite coach.
I know it's a lot to ask, but could you please tell me all of the Main HUD stats that you're using. I've been struggling to find a perfect balance between too few and too many, and I really like how organised your Main HUD is structured.
I have PIO Edge - where are you seeing or creating preflop solutions? Such as the QJs hand? I'm not seeing any 4-bet ranges or anywhere for it to solve BB vs BTN 4-bet spot

@10:50 if you're folding QJs to 4b BBvsBTN what does your call 4 bet range look like in this situation.
Some of the high suited A/Kx, lower SCs, and PP.

Zazano playing, Jordan B Peterson as an avatar, shiffty elite coach, lots of good stuff in the video. Gratz on becoming an elite coach :)
Thank you!

Makes sense. Thanks for the reply!

First four rows:
VPIP/ PFR/ 3b/ 4b
F3b/ F3b/ (CO/BTN/SB)/ F4b/ 5b/ AF
RFI for each position
CBflop/ CBturn/ FCBflop/ FCBturn
I have PIO Edge - where are you seeing or creating preflop solutions? Such as the QJs hand? I'm not seeing any 4-bet ranges or anywhere for it to solve BB vs BTN 4-bet spot
I purchased preflop solutions
