Thanks very much for the kind comments :) I'd also welcome feedback on any strongly held opinions as to which format ppl prefer - live play & monker combined and alternated between in a single vid, or seperate live play & monker vids. Instinctively it feels like ppl overall prefer the former, but ofc I could be wrong.
Great video and I enjoy the former format more too.
And one thing I think can be helfpul to grasp the more in depth analyzes is when filtering hands is to take a bit more time to check how the frequencies change before you try the next card like the AQ:T/8 at the end. It felt like the pace there at the end was a bit too fast for me.
Other than that the video was very informative and gave me a lot ot work with. Also your hability to explain your thought process is great which makes it much more enjoyable and valuable. Thanks and keep them coming!
Is it possible for you to provide the source you used to learn all the syntax for Monker? I know it is supposed to be the same syntax as PPT uses but for some reason some of them don't work with Monker. I was wondering whether you perhaps have a full list of working syntax and its explanation that you could copy paste here?
No comprehensive written source that I'm aware of, in my case it was pretty much trial and error. Off the top of my head
rr=pocket pair
$0g,$1g,$2g=zero, single, double gappers
xxyy=double suited
xxyz-single suited
: = combination of multiple properties, ie rr:xxyy = double suited hands with pocket pair
">" symbol = hands equal to or better than, only works postflop
"<" symbol = hands worse than but not including, as with above
! = not, ie !>AA means hands not equal to or better than AA

Prefer the former but not by a very significant margin.

Former please
prefer monker + playing around with syntax + looking at some equity graphs + rambling
I see someone caught a glance of my
video recipe book...
On the K75dd54, why would Q1098 with one diamond bet but check with no diamond?
Cant locate the sim, I'd say either blocker effects or random noise, more likely the latter, but will re-run and confirm.
edit: yeah looks like random noise, whole bunch of mixed strats and no clear trend (ie the more diamonds in our hand the less we bet or vice versa).
Great video. Always learn a lot from you. Incorporating solver work into the hand review makes things a little easier to understand.
Richard, thanks for making such amazing videos :)
