OOP's range is wrong in the sim, it has every premium in his range, which are 4btting pre (that's why the IP player was cb only 28% OTF).
I made the sim with the right ranges and things looks like this
- IP cb 40% on the flop.
- ATss calls always otf
- 46% small lead on the turn, our combo makes 32% lead, 66% check.
- On the river, we lead 56% of the range, half small sizing, half shove. Our combo bets 26% of the time.
A phew small differences, but pretty much the same results.
Are there videos where you explain your HUD, or posts you've made about it, or someplace I could download it? I'm working on my HUD right now and it seems very valuable to find out what you feel the most important stats are.
On the hand where you made a straight flush with pocket 66s, why do you say the only combination of 66s you can have is the ones you hold? Can’t you have just one 6 like A6, 76, k6 etc...
I might have some % of A6dd 67dd 56dd in my pf range, but all those hands are betting OTF or OTT, so the only combination holding the 6d is 66 (which might be making some betting on earlier streets aswell). That's why I think his bluff is good, but probly making a smaller sizing instead of shoving would have the same result!
great video!
at 26min with jtdd versus a2hh, you say we need to have some nut flushes on our checking range. is this a spot where need to develop a balanced chk/call range on river?
How do we know this is a spot where we do that rather than mostly have give ups on the river when check? Is it because turn he isnt super polar?
Hi FIVEbetbLUFF
Ye, I think a nut flush at this point is way too strong to be checking. I thought ingame it would be ok to check some % of AXhh because IP's bluffing range is going to be mostly AQo with a heart, but now I think shoving every flush at this point should be the best play, and just ch/c with some % of KQ/AK
First of all, great video all around! Have a question though.
Dont you think having AKcc at start of video as a value jam on the flush complete river is -ev in a vacuum. I feel he has lots of combo's of diamonds, all the gutshots(non turned fd ones folding turn), all the Kxdd, all the nut flushes that floated, as well as middle and bottom set. Take that vs the times he does have the hands you're targeting value from being KQ/KJ/A9 which you block that may not always call.
In theory it may be a fine jam some %, however in practice I think you lose $ jamming river vs a human opponent without good reads. I believe x/f as a default in this exact hand (still winning pot often when he x behind) with mild consideration for x/c if you think he may be turning a pair into a bluff, but think you got caught up in the absolute value of your hand and upon further analysis we can see its best to x this riv a lot in general range wise given the K isnt a diamond especially, and value jams blocking his Kx's should be first removed from value jamming. Thoughts?
Totally agree with everything. I see a pretty clear check on the river, and depending on the opponent call or fold.
One of the things I like about watching my live sessions, is try to catch this type of mistakes. This type of hands might look std, but the EV diff between shoving and checking is really really big.
Hi, nice video! At min 30, with KQo you say that you can just call with hands with a diamond. But what single diamond hand are we betting three streets with that sizing? 66d and maybe AAd?
I think this is a spot were people are always peeling the flop with the AdXo hands, and given they are in BB, they have a bunch of unsuited combos that could potentially be turned into a bluff. So maybe call could be reasonable with your combo? Or am I misjudging how often people actually call with AdXo?
In this type of spots, we have to be very VERY careful about the bluffcatching hands we pick to call. We are always looking for hands that block his value region and unblock his bluffs. This is a very important concept.
You are right about not having many 1 diamond hands, but if you look at our 3 barrel range, its going to be quite narrow and we have a lot of flushes (he does too), so if you start calling a hand like this KQ you are going to be burning money pretty hard. Bet calling here our flushes + a hand like KxJd
should be more than enough. Even a hand like KK is going to be a clear fold at this point.
I put this on PIO and KQo its a pure check for the IP player on the river. So, it's not even good to be a bet, imagine to bet/call a shove!

Hi grizzvet84
I didn't make any video or post about my HUD, but I'll be making something with this in the near future!

He doesn't flat those hands preflop vs co open and 56dd, 67dd 68dd not possible with the 5,7,8 on board
