AKo hand 9min- is this a range cbet sizing or are you using it exploitatively with your exact hand?

grerat vid juan! but arent we getting a bigger overfold when we block bet on AKJ cuz the pocket pairs and suited connectors fold to any size bet relative to when we pot it (when it is clear to fold the pockets and suited connectors and therefore may be easier to reach minimum defense frequency versus the larger bet)?

Yes, my last comment was bad, what I meant is that having a big sizing in you strategy is usually the best play, but in this texture we should be cb 100%, like 70% small and 30% big!

When we hold the nuts and the other player doesnt, we have to develop a strategy with a big sizing in it

great video
table 1, at min 5, what is the main reason u prefer bigger sizing over 1/3 on board 863r when u 3 bet from Sb v CO? Also which type of bluffs do u continue OTT?

table 3, at min. 31 when ross 2nmd barrel with 2.5x over bet, OTT A74 turn Q, which bluffs would u use in that spot as CO?

Hi uros19,
- Ross is a very agressive player which raise IP a lot, against this kind of players I prefer to cb a little bigger. Anyway, 1/2 pot is a completely fine sizing to a texture like this one. About the turn barrels, I think 9Ts JTs and some offsuit BWs which have decent eq against pairs.
- All type of gutshots, openenders, FDs, and some complete air like 89, 9T, etc.

Min 7:30 AKoff hand
I like the c/bet Sizing on the flop. Interested on knowing the sizing you would use on a blank turn (small or overbet all in) and which bluffs are you using on the flop with that sizing? Some connectors with backdoor equity or hands like 1010, QJ that block part of his calling down range?

Gracias de antemano y disculpa mi inglés!

Hi Biggie,
About the flop bluffs, its such a great flop for us that we can have a bunch of bluffs like QQ, TT, QJs, JTs, T9s, some lower SCs like 67s. Pio also use this sizes with A2-A5s like 50% of the times.
Good question on the turn size. On flush draw turns, we should have 2 sizings, and in rainbow ones, we should be always betting small. About the turn shoves JTs and QJs are the favourite bluffs.

Saludos!!

Gracias Juan,

So what would you think about using two bet sizings on that same scenario on a board like Q2Qss?? Betting big some Qs and FDs and betting small 99, TT, JJ....
Would it be a good way to put pressure on Vs range which is mainly pockets and FD???

Saludos!!

Pot betting on QQ2fd doesn't seem accurate, its a board where we should be cb small with almost the entire range.
When bet small OTF, I think having just 1 std sizing like 75% of the pot is the easiest way to build your range on the turn.

Hey Juan,

Thanks for vid.

First hand A9dd on river you say you don't think we should call without a blocker. What blocker would you want to have here is an ace not a decent Blocker?

27min AJhh we call 4bet preflop and x/f 8xxcch vs 1/3pot is calling one here with the back door nfd not standard? Feels like we are folding too many flops to that sizing if we fold this hand?

Thanks!

Juan Pastor 6 years, 10 months ago

Hi Hova,

I meant club blocker, like TTc, 88c or 77c are better calls than A9dd probly, but I think calling KQss KTss, flushes and fullhouses we should be fine here.

Ranges here are very very narrow, so having TT+ plus the FDs is going to be more than enough. AJhh is bottom range and a fold for sure.
