you open 8h8x utg for 2.2$ and get flatted. You check call a 2/3 pot bet I get checking back the turn because his range is " uncapped " and can contain higher flushes.... being aware of this why did you call the massive river over bet... does he really play bluffs this way ? is 8hi flush ever good here... I thought it was a simple fold.... wouldnt his overbet range contain more nut flush hands and boats + quads than his psb or 3/4 psb range OTR?

great video and content thanks for sharing

Woops, sloppy call. Definetly -ev there. This was one of my issues, calling vs dumb lines vs regs, most of the time (95%) they are going to be value.

@11:00 Table 2 the misplayed KQo re-raise on 975r after BB 8BB 3B and Cbet 1/2

In hindsight what do you think a good choice for re-raising range might be in this spot (to accompany sets and straights)?

Given KQo blocks KK,QQ continuing range its inclusion sometimes seems OK depending on CBet tendencies of Villain or would you prefer a hand like 87s that blocks some sets and also has a gutshot?

Isn't the problem more the action on the turn card 2d which is pretty much a blank, narrowing your value range? How do you feel about checking back the turn with say some top set grouped with your weaker re-raises like KQo?

I think raising in general could be OK in this spot, but as palyed I would have chosen KQ combo which blocks less of his backdoors (we want to have Ks or Qs in our hand). Checking turn seems fine as a lot of our semibluffs missed and didn't improve so we want to see a free river card. This play was made more like an exploit, but thinking more about it, I think my opponents will fold most stuff which we want to fold out on the flop so by betting turn, especially this sizing, we are just putting money on fire.
