03:00 4. table K973ds do you think this is a profitable open from UTG in this lineup?
05:18 2. table AAJ9; if you are not betting this hand, what does your betting range look like? Bluffs and full houses? What bluffs do you have here than? JJ77ds hands? Isn’t it too narrow?
Doesnt this texture favor your range more and you should be specifically inclined to be betting a bigger frequency here?
Also from another point of view, Nodicebaby shouldnt have a raising range here on the turn, right? Also if we would be bluffing, we would be doing it on the turn, not on the river (assuming villain checks both turn and river)?
First, we would be willing to bet a hand like KJT7 here wouldn’t we?
Due to this I guess we should be valuebetting J9 here.
12:17 2.table AQT6ds, do you think that against Bullitos UTG range this hand has an edge this big to overcome (and flops well enough) your positional disadvantage against two opponents?
I know it is pretty and double suited, but is it really worth a 3bet from the BB here?
Hi loss averse and thanks for well put questions and analysis.
3:00 We are 4 handed here and I think its ok to open, very marginal though, and would be ok with a fold aswell.
4:18 AAJ9. This is tough turn actually. Here are some thoughts.
I do want to check back some of my J9 hands, so I can call some of his river leads after I check turn, even though propably betting big chunk of them. AAJ9 is imo better combo to check back than like J967ds hand since it blocks alot of his "outs" if we are a head on turn.
I dont actually think this texture on turn favors my range anymore all that greatly. My range might be leading after this turn card more than 50% of the time, but my opponent will have alot more fullhouses because he will have more 88,TT hands in his pre flop range and I am checking back some of my dryish 2pair hands on this flop, but he is calling all his 2pairs and sets on flop.
I think he should have some raises here on turn. Since hes oop, raising turn is pretty much the only place for him to get the money in good or bluff. If I bet the turn and he calls I am not betting river for value all that lightly, because he looks very strong, so his top houses might lose some value. Also if I am betting kinda merged here on turn for protection, QT hands are the ones that will be the perfect bluff hands for him and he can force me out of my straights and AAk9 type of hands. Most of our bluffing is probably done on the turn, like you said, bluffing the river would be very exploitable if we never check back a good hand on turn(str8 or House) which we could value bet on river. I do think we need to check back some percentage of houses on turn in order to protect this, and to keep all options possible and credible for us on river.
12:17 AQT6ds. They are opening and defending buttons in 4 handed game lightly enough that I think I like 3 betting this. Not mandatory offcourse. We get the SPR lowered to around 3 on the flop and that takes away alot off their positional advantage. In a 6 handed game wouldnt advocate 3 betting this from BB against utg open as a default.
Hi, Durian. Great video! just two questions. on the hand vs AckMaJin where u had 6 high flush, u shared your excellent read on ur opponent range. Would u afraid of opponents knowing ur thought here? And in ur video, i learned a lot of GTO play while a lot of exploit plays vs certain opponent u would not tell. I mean when u just play normally without making a video, would u make some fancy plays where exploit ur opponent well or just play as the video shows? I think most of the videos in Runitonce is just too ABC :)
I'm a grinder from China, sorry for english sucks.
Whats up China!? Thanks for feedback SayWhatAllLate.
After the hand is over and goes to showdown , good opponents will know my thoughts about the hand already then, they dont need to see a vid for that. I try to keep my game in good balance, but will offcourse try to exploit opponents when ever it is possible.
Hi, Durian. If I set up my hud with sb fold vs btn steal and bb fold vs btn steal into 3 colors. Like the very high is over 60 and set as green. the 45-60 set as orange and under 45 set as red. So in your experience, what the number should be set? in small blind ,i find most regular fold like 70-80 , so under 60 set as low? 60-70 is medium and over 70 is high?
could you help me to tell me the normal statistics should be so I can attack my opponents defending leaks
Will be making a video about defending blinds (mostly bb) , so you just have to wait a little bit:) Numbers you got there look pretty standard what many players have in reality!
Hi! I'm a mid stakes PLO player. I just watched the whole vid and I have to say I'm very disappointed. You don't delve into your thought process much, instead you spend a lot of time naming your hand and narrating the action. "On table 3 we flop a pair and a gutshot, so I feel we have to bet." "On table 2 he pots into us and we're squeezed in the middle and this is a situation that sucks for us."
However, when I skim through the comment section, I see you answered loss averse's post in an interesting and thorough manner. Therefore I think it could really benefit you if you were given specific input. Specific questions about specific spots, which allow you to analyse a situation thoroughly and deeply. As it stands, I've just watched you play for an hour and I've heard you document the flop texture and how your hand interacts with it.
Don't get me wrong, it's not my intention at all to be cynical or to be plainly trolling. In general, in life, if I don't have anything nice to say, I won't say anything at all. But as a customer who pays $100 a month, I feel like I'm entitled to voice my opinion, and in my opinion, this video is sub par. There is a lot of narration, but very little information and inspiration.
I have a lot question to ask,but first, sorry for my poor english :)
@19:22 table2 and @48:45 table4,it seems the same situation:you flat pf,flop all check through,you hit trips and lead the turn,but @19:22 you bet 80% pot,@48:45 you bet 44%,why that?
@19:25 table1,89tjss with flush board ott,is this a good flat?I think people would not bluff this situation much,sb lead range can be a/k flush which beat our hand equity a lot.If he bluff he must have very good reason like a club, and he would bluff otr if nothing change which our hand can't stand 2barrel. So I think the best option ott is fold.
@20:05 table4,5589ds,is this strd 3bet pf for you?Which is the better option between 3bet and flat?
And I still wonder why b/f is better than c/c otf.I think we can face tough situation ott also if villin call our flop cbet, why not check hope some free card or let villin stab his worse hand?
What if you have bare AA otf, still b/f?
@28:20 aaq6ss sqeeze, what about flat pf?It seems our q high fd hurt a lot in multiway pot against two 100bb+ players.
Otf,if sb check, what is the plan?Would you cbet 2/3 pot,get it in with one player, fold with two players allin?
@41:10 table1,jjq5ss limp call and hit mid set otf.You said you would c/r otf,cos we can cr bluff also.I wonder do you c/r bluff here often?I think this board is too drawy to bluff,so I think we could c/c our mid set if we c/c most time.Another reason of c/c is that there is too much cards ott make us dificult to play.
@45:39 table1,tt33ds with nut straight blocker and fd ott.I like your bluff here a lot.You said we can flat turn and raise bluff river also.I doubt about that, because villin can check river a lot with his sd hands,so we don't have lot chance to raise bluff,it would not work well if we just bet river to bluff.
Could you make some video about deep stack ,especially ante table 250bb+?
19:22 and 48:45. No special reason for this, i just use various bet sizes in similar spots overall.
19:25 I think the sb will be stabbing alot on this turn, since pre aggression checks the flop, i am sitting in bb with very wide range. This is pretty much the absolut bottom of my calling range here on turn, so will have alot flushes in my calling range to be able to call the river aswell. Also i think, he will give up some of he's stabs on river and we get to showdown our hand.
20:05 not a mandatory standard 3bet pre. On the flop im am fine with both lines. Decided to b/f this time because our opponent is very wide button opener, and board texture just smashes our 3betting range. So expecting alot of folds on flop, and also he pretty much never can bluffraise this spot. But c/c definately very valid option aswell in this spot! And prolly usually just b/f bare AA in this actual spot yes.
28:20 tough spot actually if its checked to us. I think if i bet, i would just pot it and go with it. Betting small would just put us in a situation where btn can flat some hands like dry openenders and stuff and we are just screwed on very many turn cards. Valid option is also to check, and if btn stabs and sb raises its an easy fold for us. And if sb fold to btns stab we can shove our hand.
45:39 I dont see it as a problem if we just flat turn and villain checks river with some showdownable hand. We can still bluff this as our calling range on turn is very strong and would play some of our nuts in same way. Also in this scenario its hard to put us on any hand that has to bluff on river, so our river bet should get ton of credit imo.

Great vid man.
@13.30 How do you feel about just flatting this hand vs a gerenic opponent with this stack depth? And how about 200bb deep?
Thanks Python,
I go both ways pre with this (both 100 and 200 bb) , not that pretty hand actually and just flatting this alot more than 3 betting.
Any chance you can share/explain your HUD? What is the last line?
Hello StaticVoid,
I share my hud on this vid http://www.runitonce.com/pro-training/videos/3-table-36-6-max-plo-part-1/
Also pokertracker screenshot in the comments. Last line is Fold SB to BTN steal, fold bb to BTN steal and fold bb to SB steal
Thanks
Great video, sound analysis, well played
