Great vid mate, loved hearing your thought process. Although those mustard yellow tables......hideous! Seen you at the .25/.50 a bit recently, building a roll to move up to .5/1. Should I change anything in my game when making this transition? Given it a couple of shots with mixed success.

One of the main differences I see is bet sizing, especially overbets. A video on this would be awesome! When to make them, how to deal with them etc. Ta

There are definitely less enormous exploits you can make at 100NL. Some things that work very well at 50NL like float bet vs. PF raiser checking range and overbet overbluffing vs. capped ranges will be a little less insanely profitable. That said, there are still very many imbalances in the 100z pool.

Always love your stuff Pete. Not a ton of crazy spots in this video as you alluded to but the JJ river decision 10 minutes in or so was fairly interesting. It's clearly a GTO call but the river sizing and the extremely safe runout makes me feel like we should be overfolding this spot considerably against most 50nl regs who probably aren't imaginative enough to three barrel that spot once the K pairs on the river. Do you agree with that but think we are simply too high up in our range or is your experience that this pool can bluff in these spots more than I am giving them credit for?

Yeah there is a lot of underbluffing on 'bad cards to barrel'. That said the K is a massive brick for my range in the first place and so I don't hate the call. I wouldn't be surprised if folding was slightly higher EV.

Can you point me in the right direction as to how I can get better at sizing my three-bets? At a couple of points in the video, you were in position, and put out a three-bet of less than 3x, which puzzled me as I until now would never size that small.
What would be a default size with no reads for an in position three-bet, say for example from the cutoff vs. utg+1?

great video Pete you touched on some interesting concepts such as the influence of table composition and using various opening sizes while remaining balanced.
you asked for feedback as to what we would like to see. i would like to see more post flop stuff ie: c betting, sizing, board texture, turn and river play, capped ranges and overbets. thanks as always for the quality content.

I love your videos. I feel I learn a lot but more importantly it teaches a me about thought process that goes into making decisions. I feel that it of great value in all your videos.
Definitely gonna buy the Grinders Manual

Would love to see more Pre Flop videos like the one you did on 3-bet Pre Flop ranges

Hello Pete, nice video again!
1. I have a question about the AQo hand from the SB on 20:10min . You flated, but don't you think it is better to 3bet it (against unknown) ... even bigger, due to the rake?
2. You said that, when there are regs on the late possitions and in the blinds, you prefere opening 2.1x from EP, but again due to the rake strucrure, isnt it better to open almost everywhere 3x and with this preventing the good regs 3betting you some of the times?
Thank you!

Hi Pete, very good video, thanks!

At 8:40, why would you check range on this board heads up against the button? seems like no one really has a nut or range advantage here, I thought we could use a mixed strategy here.

neenee 6 years, 4 months ago

24.20 probably weak player.. but that small oop bet on turn is actually a very good strategy that you see hstakes regs doing allot, learn that with the elite coach elias aka sinkarma.. the correct play there on villian shoes is to bet 30% turn oop with ak that way you can keep betting QQ also for that sizing because xcall w that its burning money on the turn. obv you dont want to make that strath on turns when you IP

@13:20 TT hand why do you prefer flat vs wider 3b range and not 4b? Wide 3b range is still broadways so what's the plan to navigate board OOP and win over long run?
