great video era7er. thank you.

28:05 do you consider leading J9 on this board ? I don't expect his betting frequency to be high since most people have a wide x/r range and you can get value from one pair hands that might fold some scary turns.

yes, it would definitly be a good spot for a lead here. For me gameplan i mostly dont do leading HU but this would be a good spot to do it.

At 30.50 You just flat AJo in the BB vs a guy playing 46/38... Did you consider 3betting AJo for value here? If he is opening that wide then his MP opening range is probably 28-35% which on the high end would be higher than a lot of players cutoff ranges... Just seems like a good spot to punish a player that is playing far too many speculative hands from that position.

yes, I think you should 3bet AJ here against this guy. If i was in the SB i would have def 3bet always but also i think i should 3bet in the BB although a call is fine too.

great video as always!

18.34: 97dd, I think A on the river is really interesting because it kind of hits you both, as you can easily have AJ,AK and he could stab a lot of Ax on the flop. so I thought of checking whole range on the river to protect your showdown hands, like Kx or Jx, because you may not have enough Ax unless it s a two pair. Then x/r two pairs and bluffs like 97dd.

i would check most of my hands here. But with my hand i just have to bet because i have close to 0 showdown value. And against some opponents i would bet more when they like to checkback AQ.

Hi Era7er, really enjoying this video series thus far! But am not sure I understand your reasoning 27 mins in- where you justify calling a turn bet with an open ender and Jhigh, under the assumption that you stack villain if you hit, but that you also have fold equity should you miss and bluff shove? As surely it isn't possible for villain to both be calling and folding with high frequencies?

ERA7ER 10 years, 2 months ago

yes i think its close. It really depends on how wide villain is checkcalling the river or checkfolding. And how wide he is barreling this spot with different type of hands. I could also just checkback a blank river and sometimes win the hand. Its really tough to say, but a fold is definitly also a good option.

7:04 you check fold 55 in 77J flop bvb, i saw almost all you zoom series videos and remember you saying cbet almost all your range here in paired board, so why you not cbetting here and check folding? I know 55 is with little equity here , it is also because he is kind of station(it is 33 the stats of went to sd?) and passive(1.7) ? my first question here lol :).

ERA7ER 10 years ago

no i cbet my entire range in blindbattle situation on a paired board. when its not blindbattle i decide what type of opponent i have and try to go from there.
and yes your stats are right. 1,7 agg and 33 wtsd

ultraman 10 years ago

alright, thanks for your reply , I noticed that i take the position wrong, it was mp vs co , sorry about that. but your answer surely helps a lot since i thought you cbet your entire range on paired board all the time :)
